This is all on Isiah! He brings in the player, his character, his work habit.

This was a low rebounding high scoring player. Why try changing him? Isiah is wrong and has created a slow finease team while the league went to a euro style game and opened things up.

The NBA has changed! Gone are Isolation offense, gone are illegal defenses and gone are the fat finese players.

What Was Isiah doing in Europe when he was scouting? Getting suits? Getting laid?

The game changed, forget the knicks of the 1990's, they would get blown out in this game. even shaq knows he gotta run!

Isiah has no such players on this team. Jeffries was his only addition being a 6-11 finease player but he can't shoot!!!!!

Look around Isiah! You dumb ass you went the wrong direction!

Why is it everyone else can see it?

DLee is your only player!

I disagree with this assessment that there is no place for a player like Eddie. Eddie has made himself obsolete by not rebounding, blocking shots or playing defense. But if you had a fat guy that could score like Eddie but also grab 10 boards a night and block a shot every now and then, there would definitely be a place for him. Just like the Euros.

I am not a coach so someone help me out here.

Why doesn't Isiah tell Curry he has to focus on one or two things for a month at a time? Like boxing out.

I mean, just keep telling him one thing over and over and over again until he gets it. And them make him run sprints until he drops if he does not box out in the previous games.

He will get it.

It's like the coaches have not had 1 iota of a difference in his rebounding or boxing out instincts.

Only one solution here--Curry needs to be Bynumed--as in bring in a professional coach like Kareem for the entire summer in ADDITION to a serious trainer to get Curry back into optimum condition. Working with a Kareem or a Hakeem every day on the fundamentals and getting his body back into premium shape is the only positive way to go.

I think Curry could have benefited tremendously from working someone like Patrick working with him every summer.

I'm guessing that eddie is being told. And I'm guessing that Eddie has worked on these things. But he has years and years of bad habits that take years and years to get rid of. The result is now he is getting benched when he doesn't do these things in a hope that the benching will motivate him

This is a metaphor for Eddy Curry's career. Drago is the one who should have dominated witha ll his potential, but the hard-working, determined Rocky beats Drago while the crowds turns on him. In the words of Rocky, "if I can change, you can change."

And, yes, I have some free time on my hands right now.

Curry looks fatter than at the start of the season. If this dude ever got his weight down to around 265, he would be a top-5 center. He is so fat and slow of defense, that Thomas cannot play him.

I thought he got him tulips because they are cheaper... I ended up getting those small ass spray roses with some baby's breath and sunflowers for Valentine's day for the same reason. But tulips are cheaper than that.

It's possible. TMS is a cheap bastard, but I don't see him letting money get in the way of his love for Eddie Curry.

maybe zeke has told curry behind close doors exactly what you've mentioned and curry is not responding.

and maybe that's why curry has stated he's not changing.....and if that's the case curry needs no more than 10 minutes on the floor.

I also think - that it would be hard for him to change -right away. I mean last year - he was asked to do what he did best - camp out in the post and score. When he did that - he also responded by getting more rebounds.

This year - with the addition of Randolph - your asking him to do a lot. One - he can't camp out in the low blocks -because you have Randolph there as well. He has to drift in and out -allowing Randolph to put pressure on the other side and then look for his oppourtunity to cut to the basket or get position. Things he has never ever done. Now - you ask him to develop a face up jump shot from 5-10 feet out, learn to gain position when he is not on the low box and also help out on defense (when last year - it was the 'other' guy helping him out.

He has a very old school game. Camp out on the block- hook shot or bull it into the basket. He is actually quite agile (atleast offensively) for a guy his size.

So - it is a big deal. Randolph doesn't have to change that much. He played with Pryzbilla- so he didn't have to play defense. All he had to do was play his same game - outside 10-15 jumpers and an occasional post up move. However- this year - he is being asked to take it on the low block much more and drive to the basket-which he has done on occasion- but not regularly.

So obviously it will take less time for Randolph to be in sync. I believe this is being done purposively to get Randolph more comfortable with the Knicks- since he started off so horribly. Also - unfortunately he is the Knicks best shooter at 46% - so you need to keep him in there - to ground Jamal Chuckford and sidekick Chuckie Robinson - not to mention - 'watch me miss' Q Rich.
