Eddy's not gonna opt out. He knows no team would touch him right now let alone give him $10 mil per year.

at the end of last season, after dallas got mauled by g state- I thought we might be able to trade curry for howard. Maybe that could have been done over the summer- but no way is dallas giving up howard for just about anyone on our roster.

Hahaha. This is so true. Here's an interesting question... could the Knicks put together ANY package that would net Josh Howard? Hmmm...

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

That's what I meant by "I stopped reading." I think it would take Lee and at least two (probably three) unprotected picks considering that Dallas's goal is to win a championship now, and it's unlikely that any one draft pick (even a high one) will lead to a player as good as Howard.

>>I'd love to get Shelden Williams, he's exactly the kind of player we need in the frountcourt - he plays defense, rebounds, doesnt let ANYONE in his paint.

News Flash. Sheldon Williams is not that good.

This coming from the guy who says things like "hit the open man" "make the entry pass" "it aint your money" so on and so forth as critical parts of his posts. Your next post that has anything to do with basketball and the Knicks will be your first.

Wait for it......
Wait for it.....
Wait for it....

Here comes a post from Earl, about the good ol days of basketball and some other meaningless crap that is meant to be abstract so it sticks out from other people on this site, even though it sticks out for all the wrong reasons.

nyk4eva - you can't live without my posts.

Without my posts you would be relegated to speaking for yourself. What you consider the "wrong" reasons could be "right" in an alternate universe where people actuallt think and reason from the perspective of having an open mind to things that are different.

I musta took a "wrong" turn back at the Stop sign a few miles back. Damn that mapquest.

Please allow me to restate my opinion in a language that is more approprate for the setting:

Shelden Williams sucks

With Eddy it could be addition by subtraction.

Dallas has no low post threat on the team just defensive centers dampier and Diop.

Now that shaq and gasol has bolstered their respective teams, dallas can be desperate.

please don't try to defend this ridiculous trade idea.... why add longer contracts and a worse player.... WTF?

Terry what are you talking about, both Dampier and Curry have 3 yr contracts and Howards is up after this yr.

dampier makes more money than curry and he is straight up trash!!! this trade sucks man. Plus curry has a player option, hell he could opt out....

You said Dampier's contract is longer, where do you see that ?

longer guaranteed years(no options). eddy has a player option. He probably won't exercise it, but the fact that he has that makes his contract better than dampiers...

since he won't they are equal yrs, that was my point
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

if it's a late lottery pick somehow, like 10+, i'd trade the pick and dlee for josh howard...he's an all-star caliber, young player. dlee is our best asset but in reality i think his ceiling is lower than what josh howard is now - not a knock on dlee, but josh howard is a great two-way player. we'd have to see what we could get in the draft, but howard fits in nicely with this team, if we can move curry down the road.

Would you trade Josh Howard for D Lee and a lottery pick if your goal was to win championships now? I wouldn't. You're gonna have a huge hole at the SF spot that Lee can't fill and that is highly unlikely to be filled by a lottery pick as well as it is by Howard. Howard is not just an all-star; he's an outstanding 2 way player. There are a lot of all-stars who play hard on only one end of the court, or are very limited on one end of the court, or are simply stat whores. I'd take Josh over all those players.
