The 20/7 can NOT be fool's gold because they are season averages and he has done it atleast twice!! As for the turnovers- anyone getting the ball in the post while being double and triple teamed is going to have turnovers- notice - that his turnovers this year are down drmatically - mainly because he is not gettig the ball as much.

I am not making EC to be Shaq/Duncan etc - but please - those guys are Hall of Famers- from day 1 of stepping onto the NBA floor. It is definitely an unfair comparison in that sense. These players- do meet the unreasonable standard of instantly making your team better - along with KG. The point is there has not been one dominant defensive player that has led his team to anything since Bill Russel!!! So I am nt sure - why people are so enticed by a shotblocker-Shaun Bradley averaged 5 blocked shots and led his team nowhere.

Also the point is not 'just' scoring -however being a scorer forces the other team to foul you - hence the Hack a Shaq philosophy (but these days -the centers are better free throw shooters -esp. Yao Ming). As I said - as the San Antonio / Detroit series went on - it was clear that Sheed/Wallace etc were increasingly in foul trouble as the series went on - tipping it to the Spurs. In the play offs -defense is important but also the ability to lay fouls on the opposition and good post play (it doesn't have to be a center - look at MJ -he posted up all day) for easy points is even more important IMO.

iyamwutiam, please tell us what 2 years Eddy came close to averageing 20/7.

Your right not twice - but he has been an effective scorer since season 2 at the age of 19. The point is - he has consistently been a scorer and so it is nt fools gold. No argument that he isn't a very good rebounder. Averaging say 16 pts/6 reboounds.

He did lead two different teams in scoring - and I got confused- he led the Bulls and the Kicks.

As for the turnover thing- as it is a function of receiving the ball so much - Duncan actually has a higher turnover average than Curry!

he is playing almost 10 more minutes a game than Curry and the difference in to's per is .3. nevermind the fact that he averages 6x's the amt of assists Curry does.

why even mention Tim as a point of reference?

Clearly, it was desperation. The Knicks are the most pathetic franchise in the NBA. Why some have to "bend the truth" (let's be nice) to defend them is beyond me.
