jeff Nix said on Angles that Lampe was 7-1 270. Do people grow in college? well David Robinson went from 6-7 to 7-1 of course they do! Ill say it again I listened to the interview on FAN about Lampe done with Kevin wilson and he emphatically said his doctors X-rays showed that he still had 1-1 1-2 inch to grow. Right now this kid is 7-1 270 and could be somewhere between 7-2 and 7-3 and could easily weigh in the 300 pound range. hes not a fat kid and usually you put on some weight when you get into college. I think the best bet is playing him at C.

Briggs: Nix also said that Lampe was 6'11 then he said he was 6'11 1/2, so what are you trying to say? I tell you this kid is not 270 and he is not a center and to be honest having him at Pf or SF at times creates a lot of mismatches....

THE KID IS NOT A CENTER!!

Scott Layden said he was 270
Jeff Nix said he was 270 and still growing
Kevin Wilson said he was 270 and is still growing
Chad Ford said his last weight was 265

he measured 6-11 1/2 in bare feet with a 7 foot wing span and nearly 7-1 in sneaks. I think that those guys have tad more information that some poster named TFK on the Internet. Sounds logical, no?

Relax and enjoy as Sweetney goes for ROY and Lampe is nutured as a C by Herb Williams. Hopefully by next year Lampe will be ready to start C at 7-2 1/2 285

We dont need any big time trades

we need to secure Lampe
weneed an additional young athlete on the perimeter who can rebound and a PG who can hit mid range J and penetrate

My hope is
sign Dion Glover#1 to a 3 year 4.5 MM $ if he is not available go for Jurmaine Jones at 3 years 3.3mm
Sign Kenny Andersen to a 2 year 3.5 mm$
Sign Lampe to a 4 year 6.5$ this all comes under the 4.9mm mle

Buyout Knight
dumpWard
Trade Harrington to Utah pay half his salary this year 1.3mm and get back a 2nd round pick

so we have been fiscally responsible
we have added a post player an athletic wing and a pg who can penetarte and hit the open mid range.
We nuture along Lampe @ C and Vranes will spendthe timeworking on his strength for the next 1-2 years while being a solid practice player and injury replacement.next year he supplants Doleac.

I also thought he was 240 but after sening his highlights he looked 270+. His jumper is effortless and the hook he was throwing down shows he has a touch around the basket with the back to the basket. I think the KNicks can develope him at the 4 or the 5. With the range he has I think he would be better fit at the pf. I would strictly limit his outside touches for the first season to get him use to the physical play down low.
