I agree but some teams also see that in David case he has learned this league on his own. No coaching, no leadership, no hard workers he can work with in the summer. He has stayed in NYC and worked out most of the summer by himself and I dont think that makes you better. Yes you clean house right now or this summer before the draft.

The more I think about it the more I say we keep Lee. This team is so devoid of leadership and hardworkers, we someone setting a god example for the next crop of kids. In that sense his value is greater than his floor production alone.

Despite what Vescay says and holfresh believes Lee wants to stay in NYC and win. He wants to be in this city and be a winner because he see what great fans they have.

Might as well keep Balk, Nate, Craw if this is the case good guys and hard workers for the most part.

The NBA has to allow players like Jerome to be cut. The league looks like a joke when these guys are just living it up on the bench without a care in the world,
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Assuming that is the case, I would agree. They wouldn't be the first players I'd move.

OTOH, I don't know how hard Balkman works, I'm not sure Nate is an asset to chemistry, and last summer seems to be the first time Crawford took the weight room seriously. I see Lee as the best of the bunch, but I'm not Isiah, I'm not obsessed with turning the entire roster over multiple times in two years.

You wouldn't have to, you correctly pair the supposed "redeemable players" with the "no exceptions whatsoever absolutely must go players" and make smart trades that allow you to rebuild. We can't have the mindset when dismantling on trades dollar for dollar/talent for talent they must match, most trades don't. Where we could do ourselves a ton of good is trading our supposed redeemable parts to a team in contention or close to contention. That's how we can build our Rapport back up. Stop dealing with the come up teams and catapulting them into good teams. Take for instance trading David Lee and Jared Jeffries, Malik Rose, to San Antonio for Francisco Elson, Matt Bonner, Robert Horry, 1rst round draft pick Top 3 protected and 2 conditional 2nd round picks. Waive Robert Horry immediately so he can sign wherever he wants.

I don't completely buy that story. Lee really likes NY and from what I have read seems to have an attachment to this organization for taking him in the first round when no one else would, but I know at some point a human has to have a breaking point....
