18-1! Sounds almost as good as: 1918!

The unsung hero on the final TD toss was Brandon Jacobs, who delivered and bone shattering blitz pickup on the side where Manning's back was turned. Made that play possible.

Why is misterearl in a topic about a real team? The Giants are the real heart of New York. The Knicks are close to being disowned.

GKFv - good work. Keep the arrows coming. I was sadly mistaken in thinking this was a space for free speech. The real heart of New York? I always thought the New York Titans, Harlem Rens, New York Mets ("don't throw a slider to the glider"), St Johns Redmen, Power Memorial, Boys High (Tommy Davis), Jamaica High (Bob Beamon, just in case you were wondering) and Brooklyn Dodgers were closer to the real heart of New York.

But what do I know?

VDes - you liked Jacobs block? Next time you watch the replay of Manning escaping the Pats rush before the circus catch by Tyree, check out the tenacity of tackle 66 David Diehl staying with his man like a leech.

Right, the only free speech you supported was that in favor of Isiah and the Knicks current management. You ridiculed everything else and everyone who tried to disagree with the way the organization was being run.

Now you're playing the victim, crying about arrows coming your way. You're getting exactly what you deserve. You're a joke.

Not a lot, obviously, if you support Isiah Thomas.

GkFv - I pull for the Knicks, as I always have - to win.

I support the Knicks today and will support them tomorrow. Players and management will change just as certain as the sun may rise. If one can pull for Rory Sparrow and Tom Riker, then waiting for the next bright moments ain't so tough.

If anyone twists that support as something to derive pure anger and venom towards, then I suppose I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The difference between how the Knicks and Giants handle the media has a lot to do with the Mara family knowing how to navigate the area and understanding the importance of relationships. Dolan takes everything said about anything he's associated with personally and the hounds know this. He has no concept of objective criticism and can't separate real fans and real journalists from tabloid fodder.

It also has a lot to do with the difference in GM's. Isiah came in thinking he was going to be king of New York and can't understand why he isn't. Reese is more concerned about winning than he is making a date with David Letterman or being viewed as a savior. Reese has no problem doing his job instead of doing what will make a name for him personally, team be damned.

I pretty much think there is no possible way for this to happen Misterearl. I think you pretty much have to buy the Knicks, Rangers, Liberty, Radio City, and all of everything that's associated with Madison Square Garden, if you're gonna get the Knicks.

That's correct.

Perfect example: people have been trying to buy the Liberty for the longest and Dolan hasn't bit because he views everything as "part of the empire" even if he does act like they don't exist on a daily basis. They have one of, if not the smallest budgets of any team owned by a corporate entity and up until this offseason when he threw a little money their way (after many complaints and turnover) they only had about 4 people in the entire front office due to the small budget. They also had the worst fan relations in the league.

The team only costs $10 million, which you're allowed to pay in installments over a number of years depending on the financial health of the team. This was done by the new owners of the Seattle franchise to keep Bennett from moving them to OKC. But apparently a few people were willing to double that for the Liberty (which may not have even met the approval of the board of directors) just to get them away from Dolan. But some people think it's likely that he'd charge whoever bought the team an arm and a leg in a lease agreement just to keep them at MSG.

Supposedly, Jay-Z made some overtures about trying to buy the team when the Nets move to BK. He's very good friends with Teresa Weatherspoon who a lot of people around women's basketball feel is next in line for a coaching or more likely executive position with the large market team of her choice.

Dolan gets offers from the Knicks on the daily according to him, and that's the one thing I believe him on. But unless you've got $2 billion just laying around, and can convince him that he's not the Steinbrenner of basketball and hockey, every entity of MSG Sports & Entertainment is screwed because they'd NEVER sell the actual Madison Square Garden building...unless they get hit hard on that tax issue and can't move across the street to the post office. It's bad enough they've got David Lee begging for change on behalf of the Garden of Dreams.

Except when it comes to watching them play which you've admitted you don't. Plus you keep putting yourself in so called harms way by coming here attempting to antagonize those who don't sing the same note as you. The only reason you're around now is because the case has been closed and it's time to start-up with 'Next yr will be better', 'If We would have done', 'I can Accept Change But', 'If Change comes yet we still fail I'll be the first in line to'.....

You need to learn how to give some fans credit especially those who saw this outcome well in advance.

spot on... Knicks are owned by Dolan... Giants are owned by the Mara & Tisch family... there's all the difference you need to know.

Are you writing about yourself or misterearl? Let's take a count and see who has insulted people for their opinions more, you or any other 10 posters added up.

You're a delusional fool. It's comical, you sound like Britney Spears criticizing another person's driving and child-rearing habits.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I don't even remember seeing Reese yesterday. But the one time Isiah's Knicks made the playoffs, with the help of Layden's players, Isiah is at centercourt welcoming NY Knicks fans "back to the playoffs".

TrueBlue - if you can cite ANY example of where I have antagonized anyone i would like to see it. I'm not in some competition to be proven "right" about some opinion. I am here to voice my opinion. why is that such a problem?

Reese is never parading himself around in front of the press. He's extremely honest and has probably been caught saying things he's wanted to take back- but when you compare him to the loose lipped PR Man Accorsi he absolutely takes the right approach to general management.

You bumped a topic you made about the Knicks making the playoffs when they went on a 3-game winning streak and were (I believe) 13 games under .500. In that bump you posted something about you being right or trying to show off which was laughable at that time and even more laughable now.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

The Tone and Inference in some Threads and Posts you make have 1 goal in mind. You've run out of characters to role play with, it won't work this time.

That entire thread was an example of misterearl attempting to antagonize this entire board.

c'mon GK, you REALLY think that starting a thread to discuss the Knicks making the playoffs as a stone cold lock is someone being antagonistic?
