But Nix us negative posters have been right. I SAY UGH was going to continue to fail as we said he would. You're speaking in terms of chances. Of course anything could happen but looking at the results we were right and you can't take that away.
Take it away? You make it sound like you WON something. It's a defeat for ALL Knick fans that things have turned out as they have. You think we don't realize that there was a chance things could go bad? It's easy to go with the flow and be negative based on the past history of the team. The thing is that MANY felt there was a chance this team could be alright this year and some writers actually came on board after the way the team looked to start the year. This implosion was caused in part by Isiah's poor management of the team. I felt the same way about LB. We all know the team has been flawed and needed to be improved, but aside from that you still have to do a good job of getting the team to play as a team. That's what a good coach can do. LB had the ability but no longer the patience to work with a flawed team. Back in the day he would've found a way to get more out of any roster, he just didn't want to do that kind of work anymore and it showed. In Isiah's case he's not the Coach that LB was and so he really needed to step up and make good decisions. He made HORRIBLE decisions this year and it derailed any chance of this team coming together.

I had a lot of respect for Isiah
Why? He hasn't done anything respectable post-playing.

So Vince Carter, McGrady and Damon Stoudamire isn't respectable...Can't wait to hear the spin...

Isiah had nothing to do with Vince Carter. The other players indicate that just via luck you'll get some decisions right, especially if you have high draft picks (and keep those picks!)

There is no failure, and there is no collapse. Everything is going according to Isiah's plan. Isiah has made the team younger and more athletic. He brought Marbury home to New York, and brought us Curry & Zach. Layden's teams were old and slow. Isiah has saved the team from the senile, treacherous old coaches. All we have to do is stay the course. Once the dust settles Isiah will right the ship and get the team back on track. The haters need to fall back and the real fans need to stand up.

https:// It's not so hard.

But last night, Thomas sounded like a coach who knows that his time is running short. Thomas compared himself to the construction worker who lays the foundation to a house for someone else to live in.

"When you move into your house, the guy who poured the concrete never really gets a chance to live in that beautiful house that he built," Thomas said. "Our job right now is to make sure that we lay the concrete and that we lay it correctly."
Come on Zeke, let it go! You did a bad job in NY. Stop trying to make up ****.

he's been doing that ever since he got here, why should he stop now? i mean i dunno if he sincerely thinks he still can lay the right foundation here or if that's just his stubborn competitive spirit that he used to have during his playing days refusing to admit defeat.
