i'd look at something like:

zach randolph, fred jones, wilson chandler

for

charlie villanueva, bobby simmons, dan gadzuric

if Isiah can swing that deal i will give him a reprieve from the bashing for the rest of the season... Zach is the best player in that deal by far, but getting rid of his contract & getting in some players that can fill needs for us would at least make some semblence of sense.

C - Curry / Morris / Turd
PF - D Lee / Gadzuric / Malik
SF - Charlie V / Simmons / Balkman
SG - Jamal / Q Rich / Jefferies
PG - Marbury / Nate / Mardy

how about this:

MIL trades Yi, Voskuhl & Simmons
MIL gets Pau Gasol

MEM trades Pau Gasol
MEM gets Yi, Voskuhl & Simmons

NY trades their cap flexibility
NY gets more disappointment & a malconted Zach for the next 3 years

Trading Balkman is a terrible mistake. He's better than Lee because he can defend multiple positions and has skills that nobody else does in the league.

Noone can roll a fatty like Balkman. Just say no!

Wow, someone is saying Balkman has skills that 'no one else in the NBA' has. I'm curious what those skills are.

Just the fact that we were included in the trade and give up/receive no players... just brilliant!

Nobody is giving you anything valuable for Zach Randolph. People should stop being happy about trades. Isiah Thomas is still making them. Which means 2 things: He's still very much in charge and the trade will have us taking back longer and crappier contracts.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

there's really only 2 or 3 contracts out there that are longer & crappier than Zach's... any trade w/MIL can't put us in a worse position we're in right now unless we're giving up our youth/draft picks in the process.

...and looking at Thomas' history, do you really think he wouldn't? Again, Milwaukee could have had Randolph for the same crap Isiah gave to the Blazers. No other team in the league was interested in him. Milwaukee is in a position where they may actually be rebuilding, not taking on **** like Randolph. I was watching some ESPN last night where they were discussing the situation of Redd and that's the deal right now. They aren't adding payroll.

Thank you, Rick Brunson.

i agree w/u, no deal is likely to ever happen involved Zach unless we're giving up our youth & picks to do it... his contract is just too heinous.

Apparently Milwaukee hates Michael Redd now... ZBo + Balkman for Redd? Yes please. I don't think that's too likely, so ZBo for Mo Williams + filler?

[Edited by - supremecommander on 01-10-2008 1:31 PM]

do they hate redd, or hate that they gave him that ridiculous deal.. I said it the day he signed that deal, that the bucks would regret that move..... Redd is a good guy and a good player, but not the kind of contract he got.. that is just Isiah type of irresponsible...

i'd rather have Redd than Zach tho, wouldn't u? i mean the guy is a 24 ppg scorer & 1 of the elite shooters in the game... unless he's just being a pain in their keester i don't see why they'd wanna trade him unless they were getting back a superstar calibre talent.

If the Bucks are trying to move Redd, who also has a huge contract, why wouldn't it be Redd for Z-Bo straight up? If the argument is that Z-Bo's teams don't win how does that help Redd's value any? Redd is also older than Zach, and has a bigger salary.

You could also do Z-Bo and Jones for Redd and Voskuhl. Don't the Bucks play horrendous D, like us? Jones helps them, and we get some things Isiah probably wants.

they'd be much more likely to wanna get back a shorter term contract & some young assets to rebuild with, don't u think?

Trading Z-Bo and starting Lee at the 4 would make this team so much better its not even funny....so maybe we should wait till the off-season to trade Zach because we could really use a top 5 pick :)

Maybe, but they do get younger with Zach, and Jone's salary comes off the cap the next year. The end up saving one mil this year and then over 4 million next year, and a million for the duration of Redd and Z-Bo's deals.

They want to win, I thought. They have young guys, and maybe want young vets.

Anyway, this is all speculation.

I don't know if Isiah wants Redd. he's an efficient offensive guy that shoots great percentages. All of Isiah's moves go against acquiring Michael Redd. Having said that, I agree. The point I was trying to make is Michael Redd is exactly the type of perimeter player the Knicks need.

Similarly, Mo Williams would be a decent point to obtain. That would be a move that leads to Marbury's eventual departure.

I just wish Isiah was going to get fired before making a move like this. I don't trust Isiah with any sort of managerial responsibility... he has no idea what he's doing. Nor do I have any trust for Steve Mills or the guys he backs. I'd like for those issues to get ironed out before any deals get made.

mo williams stinks. he ain't a point guard, he's just another tweener combo guy that likes to shoot.
