Bitty Lee averasged a double-double last year and got relegated to the bench and didnt say one word because he thought it would help the team. Zach throws a fit when he doesnt start.

he threw a fit or did he just answer a reporter's question? If Lee were a 3 or 4 year starter and then was yanked for no better reason than Curry needed to get coddled, I think Lee would have shown frustration too.

"“It's extremely tough to sit that long," Curry said. “I'm not used to it at all. Hopefully it doesn't continue. I got to try to anticipate when I'm going in to keep my body warm. I was definitely cold going back in there. In the future, if I even get in that position, I'd tell him [to] let me warm up, give me a minute or a warning.'"

We should sponsor an Eddie Curry coat drive to keep him warm on the bench. I might just set that up ;)

What a turdburger with cheese.

Actually I would have started Curry also in my mind he is a better offensive player when he is the focal point.

Curry was talking about how he wasn't used to losing on MSG NY the other day... come on Eddy, who's gonna buy that? u've been on losing teams your entire career.

i think Eddy's got a ton of talent, but he just doesn't seem to get it... winning comes from effort & determination... 2 traits that he's obviously lacking & i have no problem when people rag on him for that.

King uhh there's a big difference between "throwing a fit" and answering questions from a reporter. Nice try by some of you to make somthing out of nothing but it looks like your going have to move on to the next blown out of proportion quote.

Eddy actually hated basketball growing up and readily admits this. I doubt he's all of a sudden developed a love for the game that extends beyond the 15th and 30th of each month when he checks his bank account. He plays because he's big and tall. If he was Nate's size he'd still be a happy gymnast doing back flips off a balance beam whereas if Nate was his size, Nate would be dominating the league.

There have been great players who didn't necessarily "love" the game in an obsessive Kobe/MJ way (David Robinson comes to mind) but most who fit that description are genuinely competitive, extremely motivated tacticians regardless who hated losing even if they didn't eat and sleep basketball. Not Eddy.

Bitty time for a fact lesson.
1. Portland sucked when Zach was the centerpiece last year
2. Portland gave away a 20/10 player for a bag of balls because we were the only team dumb enough to take him
3. Portland is a much better team with Zach
4. Curry was a great offensive player when he was the focal point now he isnt and brings nothinbg to the team
5. The Knicks were awful last year but competed
6. Enter Zach and we dont compete and we are a complete mess and we dont compete. Not saying it is all Zach fault but things seem to be falling into place

1. Curry has been a CAREER UNDERACHIEVER

2.Portland has 3 lottery picks

3. Before last season's Zach's supporting cast was Darius Miles and Voshon Lenard sounds like a winning team to me

4.Curry has never once shown any ability to rebound or play defense. And anyone that thinks these components aren't important for a center are living in Lala land

5. The Knicks haven't won 40 games in over 3 seasons let alone made the playoffs.

6. Where the Knicks competing or just some dumb luck? The Eastern Conference was terrible last season. Only 6 teams finished over .500 in the entire conference yet the Knicks won a whopping 33 games.

how can people bash Zach about his post game response to being benched in favor of the Michellin Man when the friggin COACH acknowledged it was a mistake at the half and put Curry on the pine to start the 3rd.

funny it was still a game with Curry spending most of the first 3 qtrs on the bench. He starts the fourth and the lane plus the lead opened up as if the Knicks paint was the Red Sea and Hedo was given the staff of Moses and Keyon was his Aaron.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

Well as long as you would be smart enough to yank him 2 minutes into the game and not start him in the second like Isiah did, I guess it wouldn't be that bad of a decision. At this point Eddy isn't even a rotation player, much less a starter.

I will explain so that even you can understand: Portland was no longer in need of top fleet talent. They believed and were correct that Aldridge and Roy would feel these voids. Therefore that felt it was more prudent to dump salary because whatever services Zach was providing Port felt that they would find all those attributes in their younger players.

This is just another example of how people try to over simplify this trade in order to add another criticsm to Zach's name. Am I wrong for refusing to be so short-sighted because I won't make a final judgement on a trade within 3 months of an NBA season?
