Nice track. I'm pretty sure that cut was sampled on the new Ghostface album. So what's up Papa, wanna help produce a rock band?

Done that! I've already produced a rock band and a Punk Rock band. I'm into all types of music. I'm always open. I have my own recording studio with just about everything in it. I even have the old 24 track 2" tape recorder still working. The phatest sound any rock band would want to record on. I also have the digital stuff pro tools a full blown recording concal.

Well, I'll hit you with a CD if you wanna check my band out. I wouldn't mind getting some feedback from a vet if you don't mind.

Thanks a lot PB! You know, we haven't really been connected to the right people to get things poppin' with the EP. We've been cultivating our sound and preparing to record some more music. We've been playing live locally and in the northeast region. We're just trying to sell as many CD's on the road as possible and, at the same time, we network trying to find the right people to work with.

Believe it or not, I have some business sense -- and I'm not trying to get wrapped up in some **** that will screw the band over. I'm sure I don't have to tell you about all the people out there who dedicate their lives to preying on desperate musicians. They promise you all sorts of things, but end up just taking your money and the rights to your music.

Fortunately, everyone in the band is committed -- so we just gotta keep doing our thing and keep trying to make opportunities happen. I mean, look at Buick, he has the skills, the dedication, and now he's getting recognition. Hopefully things keep getting better for my man right there.

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

Thanks- I didn't know people read Downbeat- you must be a musician-

no other jazz publication on this planet ties the music, the artist, the reviewing, the workshops...everything for the love of jazz as downbeat continues to provide. for over 30 years i've been reading downbeat on and off and i'm not a musician...just a jazz music lover.

in the near future i look forward in seeing you in a "blinfold test", "players review", or "critics/readers poll".

most of all, wishing you and your players a creative and successful journey
"Like they always say, New York is the Mecca of basketball,"I read that in Michael Jordan books my whole life and I played here in the Big East tournament, so it's always fun to play in the Mecca of basketball."---Rip Hamilton

Sounds great Papa -- I'll hit you up when we got some more material together. All I want is for the right people to listen to it. After that, if all goes well -- things should take care of themselves. As for now, we're just gonna continue to work hard at it. When I holla back at you, I'll make sure not to waste your time. Thanks for listening.
