Here's what I don't get, Holfresh and Nixluva: If you supported like 90% of Isiah's decisions, why would you want him fired? You're taking a big gamble here. How do you know he won't be replaced by a GM who makes moves you dislike rather than ones you invariably like? And shouldn't Isiah be given more than 19 games (not even one-fourth of one season) to get his players to mesh? He has to learn how to incorporate the 20/10 stud we just stole from Portland into the offense.

Bro, are u on drugs, 19 games. We've given the fool 4 yrs already@! thats far then enough. I recall in the past, if they're aren't positive results within 2 yrs, you're gone especially in NY.

The margin or error is very slim here!

I'm playing devil's advocate. I don't understand why people who supported Isiah so strongly--and really lashed out at us "haters" for criticizing Isiah--are now taking the exact same position that they criticized us "haters" for taking just 2 months ago. If they believed so strongly in what Isiah was doing, you wouldn't expect them to change course after 19 games.

Dude stop playing Devils Advocate, people are starting to realize its not going to work, thats why they want Isiah gone. What do you want to hear. I think there is no place for I told you so especially with fans who want nothing more than the team to succeed.

There certainly is with people who have constantly told us we are Net fans, pointed the fingers at us, and called us every name in the book for not agreeing with the moves this organization has made the past 4 years.

Alright, alright, settle down.

So some people were wrong about the team.
Still doesn't change the situation that we are stuck with a crappy team with no good changes in site. The sole silver lining is that we still own our own draft pick this year. God forbid that changes.

everyone's wrong at some point or another... just be man enough to own up to it & admit it when you finally realize it like the rest of us... there's nothing more annoying than posters who act like they're the Gods of basketball knowledge & then don't have jack to say when they're called out on stuff they've gotten wrong.

if you wanna throw insults at people for disagreeing with you then you better be ready to take it when it comes back at you... that goes for people on both sides of every argument.

exactly. No one cares that these people were wrong; it's how they handle it. There are other big time Curry or Isiah supporters who I haven't even mentioned in this thread because they are always respectful posters. I don't care that they were wrong about Isiah or Eddy. We had many enjoyable debates actually.

I'm never wrong and I'm man enough to admit it.

I'm the only one here who should be allowed to throw insults at people since I've been right since Day 1.

i still think it's up for debate in regards to drafting Balkman over Marcus Williams, but other than that you've been pretty much dead on i'll give u that... except for rating yourself the top poster on this forum when clearly the obvious choice is me.

I never had a problem with drafting Balkman, just where he was drafted. It should have been Marcus Williams with the Balkman pick and Balkman with the Collins pick. Collins is garbage.

I'm the best there ever was, and ever will be, on this board. I've made this board what it is today.

This is what I don't get about you guys...How did you know Isiah was so wrong...What tipped it off for you guys...The guy didn't even have a chance to be wrong...As a fan, how do you not root for your team to win...

I think everyone gets a clean slate when they get here and I give them time to prove me wrong...How does it work for you guys?...

I gave isiah a chance until the letterman incident, when he was laughing about chaney's job status. I didn't want chaney around any longer either, but he is a basketball lifer and deserved to be treated with a lot more respect than we was.

Then the Larry Brown firing was the end for me. For dolan to chose the two career loser's (steph and isiah as an exec not player) over Brown was enough for me to see that this franchise was going in the toilet and fast

I had a shorter leash, but there were just too many early warnings signs. The moment the Keith Van Horn trade happened, I knew we had a monster on our hands.

What kind of GM sells on the fact that we gave up the best player in a trade (almost always an NBA no-no) and then sells us on the backup talent center we received suddenly being starter-quality? Almost everyone bought into this. I knew Tim Thomas's rap, and Isiah wasn't even excited about getting him. Isiah makes a trade just to please Stephon Marbury and loses on the talent end. It just made no sense.

This was a common trend. Time and time again, the moves were blatantly obvious that the guy had no idea what he was doing. Each move somewhat undid a previous move. You'd think Isiah was running the arms race, going for quantity, rather than quality.

As the song says, "No one else would ever build a team this way, unless he's trying to get fired the very next day". The problem is that Isiah didn't get fired. He should've been fired a long time ago. Some of these moves were absolutely ridiculous. The fact that everyone finally sees it. All I can say is, I told you so.

The only hope I had for this team was when Larry Brown came in, but we all knew that that wasn't going to work. Why Isiah brought in a coach with a dominant personality that he had no intention of cooperating with was a mystery.

Anyway, it's finally crumbling down, at least for the rest of the fans. Now I can only hope that an appropriate response is taken by Knicks management.

With that last statement you sound way to much like Marbury.

I really miss RemBee telling us how important that arbitrary 35 game stretch was last year. He dismissed the last 15 games last year because of injuries so I wonder what he's going to dismiss the first 19 games of this season for? Otherwise that 35 game stretch that he held so close to his heart didn't mean a whole hell of a lot.

May I ask what point you are making?

They've probably formed their own board to tout how great the Knicks are and what jerks/whatevers the rest of us are. There's a few others complete lowlife morons that could be thrown in that group, but not worth it, since I know a few are lurking.

I never was for or against Isiah. I just saw move after move that brought on more talent but never seemed to balance the roster. I tried to caution those that called for Phoenix East etc, but was rebuffed. I am still in the same position today. The guy has brought in a lot of talent but absolutely no balance to the team. Four years and one of the greatest PG's of all-time has not targeted a leader at the PG position. Borderline amazing.
I just hope that people will like me
