I'm still trying to understand Cosmic's point. Bip suggested that this is a good opportunity to get some wins and move towards fulfilling the goal the team stated for itself. I think that's a rather neutral point. It's not suggesting anything other than a fact that this team should be able to beat Philly twice and add some wins.

Now 8-11 isn't an end point but a step along the journey. No one wants to see the team end up 3 games under. Still to reach the goal of the playoffs the process has to start somewhere, which is all that Bip seems to be suggesting. This is not acceptance of mediocrity or losing, it sounds like an observation to me. One that I would agree with.

8-11 is attainable
11-12 is a bit unrealistic but hey, why not?
