They will have innings limits that will expand a bit more from last year- I think Joba will be closer to 150 or so, and Hughes a little more than that because he was injured. Kennedy can go 200 innings this year.
i think 150 innings out of Joba is very optimistic... he is our prize prospect, they're going to baby that arm of his... the most innings Joba's thrown in any single season was his first year of college ball in '05 when he had 118 under his belt... he had 89 innings the following season & then was pretty much rushed through the minors to the majors in '07 because of the Yankees' dire need for a setup man & totalled only a little over 100 innings altogether... we're probably looking at getting 2/3 of a season out of him at best right now... the rest will have to be picked up by Moose or someone else... just consider the fact that Johan himself didn't even hit 150 innings at the ML level until his 4th season... not that the Yanks are planning to wait til 2010 before Joba hits that level, but it's hard to imagine them stretching him like that in only his 2nd season when they were so careful about his innings count last year.
i feel confident about Kennedy at around 180 innings or so next season, which is why i really wanna hold onto him at this point... he was still going strong at the end of last season before they shut him down... that's a great sign right there.
