thats where your wrong... NBA has a SOFT cap. NFL is hard... meaning you cant go over it. If your over it you gotta cut people. NBA you can go over.The real choice is if you strike out this offseason do you try again the following?

Its a lot easier to get better when your already good.
Its impossible to speculate who will be available via trade next year, but you have Curry and JJ's expiring contracts to package to a team thats capped out or financially strapped.
I'm talking about this season... we can't go over the cap to sign any FA's... it's only after we land the FA's we want that we can go ahead & trade for big contracts & go full starphuch mode, not before... if u sacrifice ur cap space now to take on contracts like Monta Ellis, etc., then u no longer have the cap space to sign max FA's like Lebron, etc.
