No other team in the league would touch Marbury's remaining $40M, especially not one under the cap.

Buy him out and set him up with a villa in Tuscany.

We really appreciate all you've done for us Steph. Chiao. Bon Voyage!

Bon Voyage

joeC - if Dolan decides it's time for Stephon to go, he will put him on the first trans-continental flight to Italy, in first class, with a juicy bonus check on top of the total balance of his salary.

it ain't your money

First class is for winners. Steph gets coach.

I pay 1/2400000th of Steph's salary!

mythfaze - wrong again

the inappropriate comments in his deposition were taken out of context. Anucha's case was not simply against Thomas but MSG.

Isiah Thomas isn't going anywhere no time soon.

I kinda like the way cosmic detailed Steph's career:
Posted by Cosmic:

I still support the initial trade for him but I have not been happy with him since that first half season where Starbury led us to the playoffs. Since then we've seen BrownBury which was a failure and then RoleBury which failed and now BornAgainBury which is just the worst of it all.

what are you fondest marbury memories?

The seemingly endless stream of nicknames and the ease of which you can make up a new one.

His off the court charity is absolutely amazing - I don't like the game but you have to love the man for what he does.

When Starbury carried us to the playoffs his first half season here.

His interviews are frustrating but also hilarious at the same time.

That's about it, and now it's time he was pushed out the door. It's a shame that his contract runs through 2009. It'd be nice if he opted out this summer but that's a pipe dream.

Posted by BlueSeats:

Cosmic, I suspect the PG spot would be platooned between Nate and Mardy, with Jamal manning the 2. Reason being, Jamal isn't necessarily the best PG of the three, but he may be the best SG of the 3.

I think you're correct given the chance this might be solved in-house and not via a trade.

Posted by misterearl:

Cosmic - just because you can't figure it out does not mean there is not a solution

Keep hope alive

I never abandon my team. They frustrate the hell out of me and I'll whine about it but I won't abandon them. The hope I have is two fold:

1) They actually "get it".
2) If they don't change will come, Isiah will be out the door, and then we can talk about what the new GM should do, will do, and then talk about what he has done.

There's always hope - it's the timeline that concerns me. Patience are quite thin.

I probably still have that interview saved on a hard drive some where unless it's still on youtube.

This is a mess. Why is there always so much drama in knick land? After the anunca case.....which isn't completely settled mind you....how can isiah consentrate with all this non-basketball stuff going on?

Point blank......no way marbury is getting traded. That's francis trade was an act of God, lol......can his light shine on the knicks once again?

If marbs is traded.....who is gonna be the "channing" of the trade? David lee?

IF Isiah survives Marbury then it might show that this was not Laydens trade, nor Isiah, but Dolans Starphuch!

No president/GM could survive what a colossal phuch up bringing in Marbury was. The salary, the taxes on top, the rebuilding around him, the damage to bring in and rid of personal, the dividing nature he is, the cousins, the trail, the truck, the bizzaro-ness, just is a damm mess. How you even dolan look at Isiah as the face who did all this and keep him on the payroll? Oh, that little sexual harassment thing too!

No, this was Dolans doing! Maybe that is why he canned Laydog who had this on his desk and thought Isiah, with all his smooth "Isiahness" could mentor BoneSpurBury into a real man instead of the cartoon character we have instead. It would be obvious Layden would get rolled by Marbury far more then he was able to roll ISiah.

I think the Knicks if they do this should issue a public apology to Mr. Larry Brown. The man was fired for speaking what has become the truth!

Telling teammates to self-sacrifice, then taking a maasge while they practice.

KT telling him everyone else may be afraid of him but he'll kick his but.

Q's sister having to call him off from beating him to a pulp.

TT saying Marbury was his worst teammate ever who didn't speak one word to him the whole time he was here.

Steph's whole Summer of Love.

"We don't have a head out there"

"I'm the best... we're all losers"

Playing so poorly he had fans thinking he wanted a trade, requiring him to assure us he wants his ashes sprinkled on the Garden roof.

Telling us he'll have no problems playing 40mg because he'll rest on D, then telling Lenny he wont play D because the defensive schemes stink.

Of course, how could I forget. As long as you aren't the ONLY defendant in a sexual harassment case your sins are forgiven. Never mind you were the one who did all the sexual harassing. Yes, because the case was against both Thomas and MSG his image remained squeaky clean.
