TMS - no matter how you slice it... Celtics fans are NOT "fellow" fans.

arkrud - the only thing I know about KGB is what I learned from watching Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Natasha was hot. Please help me understand what KGB has to do with being a fan of Knicks Basketball.

now go run tell dat.

STILL LAUGHING at those of you who said you would not have included Frye in a trade for KG 2 years ago. HA HA HA. KG too old. Frye would be KG in 4 years. HA HA!

^ Exactly.

I knew Frye was junk halfway into the 1st year. But Knick homers will always do that...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I hate the Celtics but it is amazing to see 3 guys who have been double-teamed their whole careers play open, and pass the ball to each other- it really does come from Kevin -
The "big three's" I see hyped all the time on other teams don't have a dominant big who can pass and is also a defensive leader.

KG is an outstanding low post player. That's an underrated aspect of his game. I didn't realize how good his low post game was until this year. Eddy and Zach should take notes on everything he does in the low post.

IMO his greates asset has always been his work ethic and his passion. Same with as in Minnesota, he will go up for rebounds with the same ferocity whether if it's a blow out or a close game and i think it's rubbing off in a good way in Boston. But Champions? They'll need a better supporting cast than scalaweenie and co.

I think they have some decent role players but it is a poor support cast overall. However, their big 3 are SO MUCH better than anyone else's big 3 that I think they have a shot. They can include draft picks in trades to improve their team. They've already mortgaged their future anyway--as might as well go all out with the win now approach.

I guess they ARE winning now.
And if not champoinsheep but the hearts of the fans for sure.
And then this feeds the players performance back big time and the money start flowing in like crazy.
This 3 guys can bring billions in endorsments.
And if they will use this money wisely (not like some morons in NY) thay can built team for long years to come.

I guess this puts to bed the idea that leaders are over-rated.

Along with players who play both sides of the ball.

If we had the C's Big 3 this board would be slobbering profusely over them. Since we don't then enters skepticism

i would have traded anything we had for KG when we were discussing trade proposals & i still would... the guy was an elite player when he was with MIN & he still is one... it's OK to appreciate the talent of players on other teams & still root for the Knicks... enough with all this "you guys are Celtic fans" crap, it's getting old... that said, i wouldn't want any part of Ray Allen though, but i'd take Pierce or KG on my team anyday.

But you have to admit TMS, that Ray Allen is the perfect compliment to what KG and Pierce bring. They have shooting, posting, slashing, and no one stepping on other toes. It is a well constructed chemistry.

i think the reason the chemistry is there is because you have a guy like KG who's been an unselfish player his entire career, Pierce who's been stuck on crappy teams for much of his career & is sick of the losing, & Ray who is the quintessential star role player... the other 2 take their lead from KG & none of them are letting any egos get in the way of their shared goal of getting to the Finals... when ur best player is such an unselfish player, it rubs off on the other players around him... too bad we don't have such a player.

That is true too. But I mean also from a skills perspective. They mesh exceedingly well.

They're hungry. When they play it looks like they need to win. And that goes a long way on any team, even those that don't have that much talent. Add three All-Star caliber players to that attitude/atmosphere ... watch out.
