David just had a bad game. His numbers are down this season though. Most of that is the presence of Randolph, who unlike Frye actually goes and gets rebounds, which cuts into all those easy rebounds Lee was getting last year. He also does not seem to have found a flow on offense, which also due in part to Rnadolph's presence. I think it is something that will work itself out over the next 10-15 games.

Why is it that Lee is tagged with 'easy rebounds'? No one could be that' lucky. He was consistent last year, until the injury. Like you said, in about 10-15 games, we'll see if Randolph is really what he's all made out to be for us.
I'll never trust this' team again.

You mean Lee will work himself out soon...
Hmm... I think he has a good opportunity.

Some just keep pulling for all the wrong things. Just because it's Isiah making the moves, he can do no wrong in some eyes. MG.

You sick you sit isnt Zeke mantra. Jameer absolutely killed Steph last night and he got rewarded with 6 minutes. Curry had 3 board in 36 minutes and Zach took the usual 20 shots and both got over 35 minutes. Jamal had 6 turnovers and played 38 minutes last night. Lee was the only guy the guarded Howard well last night. This isnt a very good team, and until we play defense it will get worse.

Bingo!
I'll never trust this' team again.

Lee did gaurd howard well butit seemed like his energy just wasent what it usually is and he seemed upset a lot that's the point I was making... is dave not happy?

He earned that position, only for it to be taken away by Zach. It's not hard to figure out.
I'll never trust this' team again.

ooh, It's not about the perimeter, it's about the mental state. If Lee loses his intensity, for whatever reason, he's lost his worth.

I just hope he's keeping his focus on the game, and not his role or contract.

I'll leave it at that.

I gotta admit that Zach has better numbers, but Lee playing his third season with the Knicks now, was supposed to be the stepping stone to maybe a starting role. Zach just got here. Now Lee's suppose to fight all over again to prove himself? There's a big difference between acquired and home grown. We already know which is whcih. The persons that truely need to be dealt is suckbury and Jerome.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Zach Randolph's grandmother died late Friday night, causing the Knicks' power forward to return to Indiana. He is questionable for Sunday's game against the Heat, but it seems more likely that he'll rejoin the team in Phoenix on Tuesday.
"Isiah Thomas didn't say David Lee would start against the Heat, which means that Malik Rose might start and defend Shaq," speculates Anthony Reiber in Newday's "Knicks Fix" blog. Even if he doesn't start, David Lee should see a temporary boost in minutes and, therefore, fantasy value. Its probably best to bench Randolph for this weekend's game, if at all possible; next week he should be fine.

Why does Isiah continue to slap Lee in the face????

I think Malik is the best guy to save Eddy from Shak
So strating him in this game is a very natural move.

Curry guarded shaq last year, I don't see the point. Curry is probably going to start out on Shaq like he always does and if he or shaq get in foul trouble, of course there is going to be a switch.

Lee sucks. He's got a bad attitude, and we need him off the team.

And what does that make suckbury?

Lee is just biding his time until he can sign with a Florida team as an unrestricted free agent.

I was just thinking that...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Multiple Choice

A. David Lee plays well and The Man (the guy who drafted him) is holding him back for not starting him.

B. David Lee's facial expresssion reminds him of Marbury, after a sub-par game, and it's The Man's (Isiah Thomas) fault for not starting him.

C. Zach Randolph double-doubles in four consecutive games and is also The Man for holding brother Lee down by grabbing too many rebounds.

D. Lee had an off night against a killer frontcourt, because he is human

or E the team get blown out because Curry and Zach let Howard and Hedo go crazy and dominate the game. Ever thought Lee has a scowl because he is tired of losing and that is all he has done since he has been in NYC. Before Lee got hurt last year the team was close to .500 and then everyone got hurt. You would think bringing in a stud like Zach we should be way over .500 this year with the new talent. Defense, taking care of the ball and teamwork wins game and the Knicks have none of the above

King - are you talking about the Knicks who added Zach ... or the much more talented Bulls who added Noah?

The Bulls added Noah on a rookie contract who will be a solid player and a character person in this league. Earl answers me this? If Zach Randolph is such a great team player why did Portland give him up for a bag of balls? IN 2009 when the big free agent class comes up and we have Curry, Crawford and Zach 17 million on the books we dont get a chance to sign a premier player. This team needed perimeter help and still does not another inside guy that takes away from Curry strength. We cant compare what Paxson has done at the Bulls compared to the Knicks. The bulls have chemistry problems and will try and so something about them. The knicks can only make trades for guys with talent bad character, and bloated contracts

the sky is not falling this team has a chance to be good in my oppinion they just need to upgrade at least ONE of the 1/2/3 positions... All 3 right now are poor decision makers and medium to poor defenders. We just need one of them to be a good defender/decision maker and i think it makes a huge difference on this team

I think what is going on with Lee is teams are more focused on him. Lee's first year he got no attention from Larry Brown. His second year he got exposure by getting minutes by Isiah. Now teams are looking out for him. There are scouting reports and tape of people watching how to shut players down.

I watched an interview of KG when we played Boston and he said he watched tapes of the Knicks. He even pointed out Lee on offense and knew when Lee would do a spin move or look for a rebound.

What happened with Lee last game is, he played against a guy who can out rebound him in Howard which had an effect on Lee's game. NOt only that, Isiah had a lineup that did not help Lee's cause on the court. Normally when Lee scores he would have Jamal, Nate, Curry or a Zach, Marbury to passing him the ball. Isiah was running a lineup of Lee, Q, Nate, Marbury, Jamal. Without a Curry or Zach on the court. Which means there is no double team. Therefore Lee's man can guard him straight up and focus on him. In the Orlando game you also had Foyle and Howard in there at the same time with Lee. How is Lee going to box those two out to be effective? Which led to Lee's bad night.

I will be the first to say he had a bad night but the only time Howard didnt go nuts for a 5 minute span in the third quarter is when Lee was guarding him. Last year teams were face guarding him to keep him off the glass. The difference this year is he isnt going to get a lot of minutes. Here is a guy that IT gave up draft picks instead of Lee and has numerous trade offers for him. WHy would you bring in a guy at his position when you needed a three man that could guard people? If Lee had a bad night with 4 rebounds in 20 minutes what do you call Curry night of three rebounds in 35 minutes?
