I think Horford already has better instincts that eddy at the position is strong on defense can rebound the ball and block some shots. They would be really tough to beat had they not taken sheldon williams last year
It's funny. My "tank or die" thread didn't go over well; yet some guys admit a 1st year player like Horford is alreay better at 2/3 the game than Curry.
Who we could've gotten by.........ya that's right tanking. (without the curry trade)
Real teams don't tank. The game isn't played that way.
Tell that to the Spurs. They won 4 championships, and counting, by tanking.
Well technically they had legit reasons to shut down for the season cos the Admiral was out for the season, and I think Sean Eliott was hurt as well. Boston, which did tank intentioally, had the most number of lottery balls, but suprise suprise didnt finish with Tim Duncan. Call it karma, but the team that intentionally tank didnt get the biggest prize.
Most people believe Robinson could have come back from his injury that year but the Spurs sat him in order to tank and improve their chances to get Duncan.
Just because Boston didn't get Duncan it doesn't mean Karma got them. The Spurs intentionally tanked and they got Duncan so Karma must not really care. Obviously only 1 team can get the big prize but at least they gave themselves a chance.
I believed that Robinson would have come back to way too late for a even a sniff of the 8th seed in a stacked west so shutting him down really gave them a legit to shut down. Setting out your stall at the beginning of the season to tank like Boston in my opinion is a no no. For me it's cheating the paying fans.
However, i firmly believed in rolling with what you have, giving your all and letting bad contracts expire would always reap results. Just give your best and if that team sucked, it would reflect in the final standing and the amount of balls we would get. We could have gone down that route from day one (meaning Pre-Marbury) and IMO have gotten better results with a far sighted GM rather than Isiah's high risk high price win now if possible approach.
I see where you guys are coming at but i still believe it's better to give your all and suck than give your all to suck
