An ignore function if created wont be mandatory. Those who want to use it, will use it. I wish I could be better at ignoring some guys on this forum but I cannot and an ignore function will really really help.

It's high time this site grew up and got an ignore function. Here's a partial list of posters I'd put on my ignore list today, if this capability existed:

I vote against an ignore button. You don't like whats being said. Get some fresh air, watch tv, blaze an L, etc

I've really thought about this. When Isiah is gone, I won't give a crap about him anymore. I'll be annoyed at the shambles he'll be leaving my Knicks and I'll always ridicule him but I'll be back to being a Knicks fan. Dolan and Isiah's leftover garbage will be impossible to overlook but at least I'll have my team back. It'll be an interesting transformation back to the diehard I used to be.

Oh, and the people I enjoy annoying, I'll continue to annoy. Because it really is a lot of fun. I'll just find a new way to do it.

Islesfan the reason why you don't want an ignore button is because you know that you will be high on the ignore list. Then you can't vent your hate like you want to. I don't want to hear the same old song how much you hate Zeke. Why don't go to the garden and step up to Zeke and tell him how much you hate him?? Probably Zeke would start laughing so much that you might just realize something. No one really cares how much you and your hate crew dislike Zeke. If and when Zeke does leave the Knicks he will be laughing all the way to the bank. You see Zeke will never know who you are. Zeke already got his fame. He was one of the best point guards to play the game. A hall of famer. One of the best. And you can complain all you want but you can never take that away from him.
I'm out for the rest of the evening going to the movies. You I have a life after the forum unlike some of you haters who are on it all day and all night venting hate.

Whats your problem with having an ignore function? Lets say it was easy to create or was already created, what is exactly bothering you about it? Those that use it know what to expect when they visit the forum. Yahoo, ESPN, MSN, techforums, Etrade forums and many others have an ignore feature. If the feature can be easily implemented, why not give people the option?

I will tell you why. The haters would go crazy because no one would be there to read thier hate. Haters talking to haters is boring.
If something isn't done you will start seeing good people like Nixluva leaving this forum. I want to read good comertary about the Knicks game good or bad. I don't want to hear about how much they hate Zeke , Marbs , Crawford, Curry every day every night.

If you don't want it, you don't have to use it. I would use it and I know I'll have a problem with the flow of posts sometimes but I'll get used to it. It would be a welcome change to filter out trolls on day 1. Like I said, a lot of big time forums use it and it doesn't seem to take away from the experience.
