1 game and people are already crying about ignore buttons.

These people are never going to last the season regardless of whether there's an ignore button or not.

An ignore function if created wont be mandatory. Those who want to use it, will use it. I wish I could be better at ignoring some guys on this forum but I cannot and an ignore function will really really help.

Whats your problem with having an ignore function? Lets say it was easy to create or was already created, what is exactly bothering you about it? Those that use it know what to expect when they visit the forum. Yahoo, ESPN, MSN, techforums, Etrade forums and many others have an ignore feature. If the feature can be easily implemented, why not give people the option?

i know i just got here, but i wanna be cool enough to be ignored too...

I vote against an ignore button. You don't like whats being said. Get some fresh air, watch tv, blaze an L, etc

I can understand Martin or Andrew not wanting to put in a lot of time coding and testing something like this. It can be a real pain in the ass. But lets say the code was freely available. Lets say they dont have to code it they just have to copy, paste and test. Why not make it available as an option? Those that want it, can use it!

If you don't want it, you don't have to use it. I would use it and I know I'll have a problem with the flow of posts sometimes but I'll get used to it. It would be a welcome change to filter out trolls on day 1. Like I said, a lot of big time forums use it and it doesn't seem to take away from the experience.

Seriously, what are you gonna do when he's gone? You know he's eventually gonna be gone right? Are you gonna stay here or follow him to his next team? That's if anyone would ever hire him again

I've really thought about this. When Isiah is gone, I won't give a crap about him anymore. I'll be annoyed at the shambles he'll be leaving my Knicks and I'll always ridicule him but I'll be back to being a Knicks fan. Dolan and Isiah's leftover garbage will be impossible to overlook but at least I'll have my team back. It'll be an interesting transformation back to the diehard I used to be.

Oh, and the people I enjoy annoying, I'll continue to annoy. Because it really is a lot of fun. I'll just find a new way to do it.

Papabear Says

You never was a fan, and if you were you sure are not one now. All day long all you do is vent hate. We do need a ignor button or better you maybe its time for me to move on. I can debate with the best. but you haters are turning this forum into a hate machine. Maybe the owners on this site don't care but I see where Knick fans who are fed up with the constant day by day trying to spoil someones joy of the game. TO THE OWNERS OF THE SIGHT IF YOU WANT YOU SITE TO BE WHERE HATERS ROAM, YOU'RE GETTING CLOSE.

It's not just "hate" that's a problem, it's also the constant meta-discussion about "hate", creating the impression that the problem is larger than it really is.

AGREED 100%

Practically speaking, what happens when someone has BasketballJones on ignore, but I quote him in my post? Do people really think they are going to escape?

Islesfan the reason why you don't want an ignore button is because you know that you will be high on the ignore list. Then you can't vent your hate like you want to. I don't want to hear the same old song how much you hate Zeke. Why don't go to the garden and step up to Zeke and tell him how much you hate him?? Probably Zeke would start laughing so much that you might just realize something. No one really cares how much you and your hate crew dislike Zeke. If and when Zeke does leave the Knicks he will be laughing all the way to the bank. You see Zeke will never know who you are. Zeke already got his fame. He was one of the best point guards to play the game. A hall of famer. One of the best. And you can complain all you want but you can never take that away from him.
I'm out for the rest of the evening going to the movies. You I have a life after the forum unlike some of you haters who are on it all day and all night venting hate.

Nixluva just joined EXCAPE FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES
Nixluva wasn't chased away he just got sick and tired of hater posting just to be posting about hate. Its one thing critisize the team. But to root for them to loose so Zeke can get fired is sick.

I will tell you why. The haters would go crazy because no one would be there to read thier hate. Haters talking to haters is boring.
If something isn't done you will start seeing good people like Nixluva leaving this forum. I want to read good comertary about the Knicks game good or bad. I don't want to hear about how much they hate Zeke , Marbs , Crawford, Curry every day every night.

It's always the same people saying the same things every damn day. That is why it is annoying. There are always high strung fans in any fandom and if someone constantly pushes that button driving that person over the edge then what happens? A couple of these resident trolls just need to cool it already. WE GET IT, YOU HATE THOMAS, DOLAN, MARBURY AND THE CURRY TRADE. YOU HATE THE FACT THAT LEE ISN'T STARTING AND WE SHOULD HAVE DRAFTED GRANGER. YOU ENJOYED HOW OUR FAVORITE TEAM WAS DRAWN THROUGH MUD BY ONE OF THE UGLIEST FEMALES I HAVE EVER SEEN. YOU WANT TO SEE THE TEAM LOSE SO THOMAS CAN BE FIRED YOU ALSO WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO OWN THE KNICKS. Did I leave anything out?
