The situation is this. Kobe does not want to go to the Bulls unless Deng and Wallace are there. So the most Chicago can offer is Gordon, Thomas, Noah, and Nocioni. Now compare that offer to an offer of Curry, Crawford, Lee, and Nate. IMO, I would rather have the Knicks offer. Even if Bynum turns out to be better than Curry, there will always be teams interested in a guy that can score like Curry, so the Lakers could trade him. Lee IMO is as good as Thomas, Noah, or Nocioni. If we added an unprotected 1st round pick, I cannot see how that deal would not interest the Lakers. Our lineup would then be Marbury, Kobe, Balkman or Q, Randolph, and Morris. With Collins, Chandler, and Rose off the bench.

exactly what i've been saying for a while now... all this BS that the Knicks have zero to offer the Lakers that would interest them is idiotic... D Lee is a better player than either TT, Noah or Nocioni... Curry has good trade value no matter how much some people may hate him on this forum... throw in 2 1st rounders & there's no way the Lakers wouldn't be interested in that deal.

According to ESPN Luol Deng is now being included in packages. With that being said it's clear they want to get Kobe out of town.

Chicago is willing to include him but Kobe wants him to remain a Bull and Kobe has the veto power.

Kobe's stance may have changed. If he thinks he can still get it done with say Gordon and a few pieces of remaining talent then there won't be a problem. Look once you find out you actually are attempted to be traded things change. Kobe has realized over the summer up til now you can't have it both ways.

There's no way the Bulls can be that competetive if the package has to include Hinrich or Wallace (which it does untill Dec. 15) and also Deng.
