The is a very acurate account. Totatlly agree. However, if Nichols really asked to be cut, I think he is being a little too arrogant for his own good. Not only turning down a trip to Europe, but asking to be cut before cuts are mandated is a bit much. Especially for a 2nd rounder. Tie your hightops up and go to work. Make it impossible for Isiah to cut you. No need to be so brash.

i think the point from nichol's POV is that the hightops are tied up, but his ass is tied to the bench.

He'd be sitting right next to Chandler who was a higher pick than him. What second round pick is gauranteed, not only a spot in the rotation, but a spot on a team?

Call Isiah an *******, but its buisness. Buisness wise I wouldn't cut him until I would absolutly have to. He did invest a 2nd rd pick. Managment wise it would be smarter to buyout James & Rose, and keep Nichols. So thats the part I don't agree with.

Yes it would have made more sense business & managment wise to do that. But thats not what I was comenting on business wise. People asked the question why did Isiah trade for him. Answer because he thought he would have been able to stash him Europe for a season. Why Isiah traded for Nichols without confirming wiht Nichols that he would send him to Europe is a different question. As for Isiah being an ******* to him, business wise he got to do whats best for Knicks not Nichols. Flat out cutting Nichols isn't whats best for the Knicks.
