Using the FRONT end of a back to back as an excuse is probably one of the funniest things a lover has ever said on this board.

It just goes to show the extent that lovers will go to make excuses for this team.

It also goes to show that they're running out of excuses.

If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

You beat me to it I was getting ready to post the exact same thing word for word.

Nix should be awarded for some of the chit he chits because no one has come up with the doozies he does.

Remember last yr when I SAY UGH came up with excuses before they would play games especially a couple months into the season when he said guys may not play up to their potential because they were looking ahead towards the Holidays. I believe it was a game in Philly and the team then proceeded to get mopped off the floor by the Mighty Sixers.

There are blowouts and then there are 40 pt losses where you don't show up.

The former is excusable for the most part, the latter isn't.

If the Knicks get blown out after losing by 40, that's inexcusable.

We praise the effort and hope that the talent is there after all and worry AT BEST we are inconsisatnt.

One does not negate the other, do we really care what the nets do? They might play their scubs more than us?

And our scrubs are usually pretty good!

agree whole heartedly. i dont think it's gonna happen but craw or q........one of those guys needs to be traded or benched. that starting lineup is atrocious. isiah the GM needs to hire a good coach and leave lineups and minutes handling to him.

I agree these starting line-ups are maddening. Even when we are playing well we constatnly find ourselves starting games in the hole. Maybe an adjustment is needed. Too early to tell at this point, but if the pattern continues for the third year in a row you have to look for some common denominators.
I just hope that people will like me

Sloppy Seconds and Thirds

sheesh Marv - for all the intricate details of Knicks science that you and I have shared, one would think that you could spare just one freakin' "get out of jail free" card for the passionate effort and the unexpected, mid-October Wilt Chamberlain reference.

Who the hell even ever heard of losing because it was the FIRST of back-to-back games?!

HAHAHA!! You have to admit that might be one of the most classic excuses ever.
