I loved H2O and even modelled my shot after his stroke. I actually hope he can play well enough to give us a few mintues a game. His presence will help to stretch defenses. If Isiah and the staff have gotten a look at H2O and feel he can help, then who am I to complain. I can only assume that his knees are healed enough for him to move pain free. It can take time for micro fracture surgery to take effect and he's rested long enough. We'll see.

I hate to give up on a kid like Nichols, who I think has a chance to do something in this league, but it's not the end of the world. We have so many playaers on this team. If it was up to me, i'd get rid of Jerome or Malik to keep Nichols.

look at the bright side. you get to watch him incur a career-ending injury all over again!
Marv, you know this is the worst thing that could've have happened to this team! I thought Isiah was trying to get a mother****ing younger/athletic team together and now he resigns the slowest, least athletic guard in the history of NYC! WTF? So Houseless can drain some 3's? Isn't that going to take mins away from the 2's and the 3's we have accumulated? Don't we still have to search for a good 2 or 3? This really stinks of being a PR move! Fucking Isiah and Dolan have ruined my season before it started.

Wow and I thought you were joking with the first post. You really hate Houston that much?

Honestly, I'm not a Houston fan, mostly because the stuff he doesn't do outweighs the stuff he does do, but frankly, a guy who can hit shots will certainly be an upgrade over Chuckford.

Marv: What's positive about this news? Can anything realistically good come out of this? I know we all "hope" something good comes out of stuff but if we leave "hope" out of this, whats good about this? If anything it sets us back a year or two.

Here's a positive... Allan can actually score points & shoot the ball well from the perimeter, something this team lacked last season... if it's in a reduced role, that's fine... the risk is so minimal you have to take it... obviously u don't want to lose a young talent like Nichols because of it, so i maintain that the logical choice is to get rid of Turd & Jefferies & put Houston & Nichols on the active roster.

Of course the big negative, if we lose Nichols because of the Houston signing, then I will call this a bad move.

Otherwise I say it's about time we get Allan Houston, a specialist, playing for specialist money instead of max money. Cheers.

Curry is our franchise player. We gave up more for him than any team has ever given up for a non-all-star as far as I'm aware. Curry is relevant to every acquisition we make. The Yankee thread is the only one in the forum he's not relevant to.
Why not just write "I love to troll forums" instead??
You're the one trashing a heroic Knick who gave everything he physically could to the organization and will probably keep on trying to contribute until his leg has to be amputated, yet you think I'm the troll. That defies all logic.

WELCOME BACK ALLAN!

can't wait to see that sweet as butter shot tantalize the nets at the garden this year

It's more like Houston will be standing on the perimeter wondering why Zach and Eddy don't kick it out while the Nets celebrate another in over the Knicks.

Nice try but trashing a player is not trolling. Bringing up that player in irrelevant threads over and over again and claiming its ok to bring up the player in any thread is trolling.

Nothing to Lose, except Jared Jeffries just lost his uniform number.

Why not wait until Allan Houston steps on the basketbal court before pre-judging the move?

If Allan can play, he brings the ability to spread the floor just on reputation. Having a sniper on the second unit is not a liability, it's an asset.

If Allan cannot perform to Zeke's standards, he jumps on the horse he rode in on - back into the sunset.

The New York Knicks are on Broadway and the show must go on.

Expect the unexpected.

Check out Jamal said about Houston:

Jamal Crawford was in the gym over the summer with Houston, and believes there’s something left.

“He didn’t miss a shot,” Crawford said. “When we played, he didn’t miss a shot. I think he shot 100 shots and made 96 of them just to get loose. He still can shoot it. Definitely (he can contribute). He was moving well. … I was surprised at how good he was moving.”

Whatever happens, the dude can't start.....period. Unless he can channel some 1999, he needs to come off the bench if he even makes the team.

This is madness by the way. Nuff respect for his loyalty to the Knicks and us fans but I dunno man........

Knicks needed a shooter and now they got one......God is good.

So you have the official and final say in what qualifies as trolling and expect everyone to follow your definition? Wow! I'd define a troll as someone who doesn't stick to basketball but rather throws personal insults at other posters, which I don't ever do.

I doubt that Houston will be getting major minutes. I think If Isiah has control of the situation he probably wishes Houston's knee explodes so he would not have to deal with him.

WooT ! H2O and Marbs in the backcourt :D With Eddy and Zack ?

That could put us right there with Boston. Houston actually could help us more than say Nets or Cavs since we are gona play it inside out , or at least try. But definately awesome to have H2O back as long as we can keep Nichols and Jordan. This season should be even better now no doubt

I highly doubt this is the same Houston before the knee injuries. It would be so awesome if he were the same player, though. We could use a break like that!
