I'm not a Curry hater but simply an impartial observer in the argument between Isles and Rembee(although this will change rapidly if Isles keeps making my mama jokes). I am actually rooting for Rembee in this argument because it's about time that Isles got his comeuppance. But the bottom line is when I look at the facts, Cliff Robinson simply wanted the ball more than Curry. Something that happens far to often around this 7 foot 300 lb. physical beast. No one should be apologizing for him. That play is just a microcosm of how he has performed on the boards to date(7 rebounds per game). It is up to him to change this.
The man is 7 feet, 285 lbs and averages 7 rebounds per game(as a career high). How can anyone defend that.

Bip it cant be defended but I will give it a shot.:)
Curry is 6-11 not 7 feet
Clif Robinson is 6-10 and never averaged 7 rpg
Nenad Krtsic is 7 feet and never averaged 7 rpg
Jason Collins is 7 feet and never averaged 7 reb per game
Brad Miller and Mehmet Okur made all star teams averaging 7-8rpg
7 foot Patrick Ewing had his shot blocked by Moguesy Bogues how can you defend that?
7-6 Yao Ming had his shot blocked by Nate Robinson how can you defend that?
The Knicks before Curry were a bad rebounding team. The Knicks in Currys 2 years have been a very good rebounding team
Curry came in the nba straight from HS and he wasnt ready. Some are ready straight from HS but some arent. He needed that college coaching to teach him all the things he has been learning on the fly. He has basically had a new head coach every year as well.
Lastly Curry is a below average rebounder. He has to improve that aspect of his game. If basketball was all about that 1 stat Curry would be a weak player but fortunately there are many aspects to the game. Some Curry is dominant in and some he is weak in. The good thing is that he is only 24 years old and his production is going up not down. He worked hard to come in to camp in shape and will be working to improve many aspects of his game including rebounding.
