But to the question…does that make what Bill Clinton did any more wrong than any other guy who cheats on his wife?

Why don’t we ask any of Wilt Chamberlain’s 20,000 women how in control they were? Or any of the thousands of groupies that tend to rock stars, or any of the trophy wives that hang on the arms of millionaires?

The same forces that attracted those women were working on Decker. Money, power and fame attracts women, does that mean they aren't in control? Does that make Marbury some insidious fiend? Does it make Isiah negligent for not discouraging that?

No one is saying it’s impossible for two consenting adults to make a mistake, but in the end, that what you have…two consenting adults. I’m not convinced that the finding against Thomas means the jury didn’t see Marbury and Decker’s relationship in that same way.

Rem, I'd agree with you if if the situations were the same, like if Marbury and Decker were strangers who met at a club and were but two ships passing in the night. But in the workplace is a different situation.

I'm not here to pass judgment on morality. It doesn't bother me at all that a 30 year old stud popped a 22 year old gal - happens all the time. But it's important that women don't feel they're being pimped on the job and that putting out is a requirement for advancement. Lets be real, every guy wants to be the hollywood producer conducting casting calls on his couch, but we want that precisely because it's exploitive.

Exploitative maybe, but its the girl who is willing to do what it takes to get the job. Plenty of casting directors out there don't require a BJ along with a reading. If the power relationship were reversed between men and women, would that still be exploitative, or is it OK because we men will generally bonk anything that moves?

If your speculation is correct, that Decker somehow felt she needed to get into that truck to save her job, no question that is a problem.

But again, I look at the fact that: a) she was partying at a strip club beforehand b) she was dating one of Marbury's cousins and c) she met up with Marbury on other occasions and for me that doesn't add up to the picture of a poor exploited college intern giving it up because she thought she had to…an image that yes, I think is easier for some people to swallow because she is white and Marbury is black.

Marbury got his completely unqualified and sexual harassing cousin hired, you don't think she thought that he could have also gotten her, a lowly intern, fired?

Knowing that, it's hardly a jump to assume that Decker somehow felt she needed to get into that truck to save her job. And like you said, that's a problem.
