BTW- one thing about a high usage low post forward- that means teams have a really tough time denying him the ball and denying him shot attempts. That's really important considering many believe that one of the Knicks biggest weaknesses is feeding the post.

Bonn - the statement under dispute is the arkrud comment, "I would say only 2 of the whole team are proven players - Malik and Lee."

its not worth wasting screen space on debating with bobs3304.

He obvioiusly has a few "defensive" (cough) that go much deeper than Knicks basketball

But you thought 7 rbs in 35 mpg was relevant to (as if somehow disproving) Arkrud's statement. I'm saying it, ironically, actually helps to prove his statement.

Bonn - forget splitting semantics over rebounding averages, are you suggesting that Eddy Curry is not a proven player?

Yes or no.

Once again with these arguments. How can anyone argue that Eddie Curry and Zach and Steph aren't good offensive players. Why does this topic come up? They are all very good offensive players. Some of the best in the leauge.

That isn't our problem!!!

We have all the offense in the world. The questions aren't about offense. They are about the following:

Will the team bury their egos and play as one?
Will the team understand that defense is part of basketball as well
Will a leader emerge?

If all three of these answers are yes, you have enough talent on this team to compete with anyone. But these are major questions that only the players can answer. It's not about talent with us fellas'
I just hope that people will like me

Good points. One reason that I'm hoping for Q to have a healthy season is that he does have some leadership ability. It's nice to have a guy like that on the floor. As Lee grows older, he may step up in that area, too.

Post offense is not a problem for Knicks.
The real problem is single-dimensional approach to the game.
We are dealing with a bunch of lazy people starting from coaching stuff and going all over the roster.
We want to promote the motto that talent and dominance in one single area of the game can be more successful that balanced team game, set plays, multiple options on offense, and defensive work ethics.
Guess what - this was proven wrong so many times that this just not even funny.
We have too many ignorant morons.

No, he's just a proven stat whore (and even at that, he manages to get it right in only one stat category)

Eddy Curry IS a stat whore though.

YOu gonna complain about a 21 y/o saying that too?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
