Look out for a these two sick deals...

NY Sends: Nate, Jared Jeffries and Malik Rose to Sacramento
SAC Sends: Ron Artest and Kenny Thomas to New York

NY Sends: Lee, Crawford, Balkman, Dickau, Jones and picks to Los Angeles
LA Sends: Kobe Bryant to New York

This leaves us with:

Eddy Curry
Zach Randolph
Ron Artest
Kobe Bryant
Stephon Marbury

Kenny Thomas
Quentin Richardson
Wilson Chandler
Randolph Morris
Mardy Collins
Demetrius Nichols
Jerome James

Before anyone jumps down my throat saying, "THAT'LL NEVER HAPPEN!!!!"

Kenny Thomas is a PF..and we have Z Bo, D Lee, R Morris, Chandler (C/PF) so why bring him here. Think the best offer would be Balkman, Nate, Jared Jeffries, and Dan Dickau.

Chandler is not a center and has a ways to go before he can be a proven PF. Malik would be the odd man out if Thomas is brought in here. No way should the Knicks trade Balkman for Lee.

trade Balkman for Lee

Evil, I just wanted to let you know, just in case you're not aware, that those trades will never happen.

If it did, ok, we'd be better than Boston. Much.

I was going to post a response like that. I can visualize Z-Bo holding down a guy while Ron gets some licks in.

Let's see what happens before we jump the gun in assuming that we're getting Artest. If there's truth to this, frankly, it adds a lot of legitimacy to the Zach Randolph trade and some of the previous moves.

Starters: Curry, Zach, Artest, Craw, Marbs
Bench: Morris, Malik, Lee, Balkman, Chandler, Jeffries, Q, Collins

There's definitely a lot of talent there.

This isn't a shocking rumor, considering all that's gone down this summer. I have said that I really am fearful of Artest, like many others, but in terms of the right fit for the team, he fits the bill. There's not a team in the East we wouldn't stack up well against. The D would be improved at one of our weak spots and we'd be serious threats offensively.

Wouldn't you want to be a fly on the wall in that lockerroom this year, cuz I'm just wondering what the dynamics will be. Steph and Ron are 2 kinds of crazy and it makes you wonder how that will work out. I'm not that worried about Zach. From what i've read it seems his issues have a lot to do with partying and that's not even close to the same level of issues that Ron brings. Still if it works out and Isiah can control these guys, this will be one tough contending team.

This would be one of the most rugged teams in the league to deal with. We've got brute forces at PG, SG, SF, PF and Center. I can't think of a team that is as bruising as this team would be. All of our guys would possess a power type game. Steph, Q, Ron, Zach and Curry. That would be very interesting to watch.

As a side note, the national TV games would likely jump up too

Every single starter would demand the ball to be effective. Turmoil at the Garden will be brought back.

Turmoil at the garden would be brought back, have you been to that place, it's all turmoil.

Kinda wish it was crawford, morris, chandler, nate is a valuable outside shooter. But that being sad, Jamal is not your starter if that goes down.

Marbury, Artest, Richardson, Zach, Eddy (Collins, Crawford, Balkman, Lee) You have to like the knicks chances with that group artest makes all the difference as does our deep bench

But I can see this happen...

Jefferies, Nate, Jones, Dickau for Artest, KT

Curry, Lee, Chandler, Crawford and picks for Kobe, Maurice Evans, Ronny Turiaf (last 2 mostly included b/c the Lakers will need the roster space).

Sign PJ Brown to play center for some portion for 2 years/10 mil

PG- Marbury, Collins
SG- Kobe Bryant, QRich, Nichols
SF- Ron Artest, Balkman
PF- Zach Randolph, Kenny Thomas, Maurice Evans
C- PJ Brown, Randolph Morris, Ronny Turiaf, Jerome James

at this point we need to just go all in & take the risk... since it's obvious that cap flexibility & long term vision has been sacrificed in favor of trying desperately at all costs to make the playoffs for a meaningless run that won't net us any championships, a move for Ron Artest makes complete sense & helps this team improve for the now... enough of the half arsed 1 foot in, 1 foot out type strategy... either we continue to cash in our chips for the present, or we commit to a longterm building plan for the future... make a choice already & stick with it & stop hedging w/all these wishy washy roster moves.
