Why does our GM have a Sex Trial on the table and Minny's GM doesn't?

Since we're talking about scumbags.

those are accusations. I can accuse you of being a prejudiced, hater, agenda driven, child molester. does that make it true? .... Mchale was caught cheating, convicted by the NBA and punished.. different set of circumstances homie....

How many GM's go to trial for Sexual Harassment cases TKF?

And if convicted or if it's settled out of court then what

What about I SAY UGH saying Larry Bird was overrated and only hyped because he was white?

well accoring the the rules of the clones on this board, Isiah was a Superstar, HOF point guard with titles, so he was entitled to say that..... is that correct?

Again those are comments, we all make stupid comments, hell bird deceived and lied to Jermain Oneal to get him to re-up with the pacers and then he canned Isiah.....

When the sexual harrasment case is settled, I will then make a comment. If it is settled out of court, why should I look bad upon Isiah, if it really happened then why should the plaintiff settle? it goes both ways bro...
How many GM's go to trial for Sexual Harassment cases TKF?

I don't know, I mean how many GM's sexually harras employees that never make it to print, hell this is NY.. BTW Arthur Blank, the well respected owner of the Falcons was sued for sexual harrasment, in which he settled out of court..... Actually let me correct that, he settled a case out of court in which his company was accused of sexual discrimination. Anyway, the point is, these guys are large targets, accusations go a long way until proven otherwise, and even then a stain is left on big names like Blank and Isiah, even if the charges are proven false...

Isiah was only repeating a Dennis Rodman line(Rodman was serious) that the media read him. Isiah was joking and said it with a laugh. That should not be misreperesented.

Please change the title of this thread. You are misreprenting it by saying Knicks instead of Marbury. Marbury is not the spokesperson for the Knicks.

[Edited by - COSSUCKS on 08-02-2007 10:49 AM]

The Detroit Pistons' Dennis Rodman called Bird "overrated."

And Isaiah Thomas chimed in that though Bird was "very, very

good," he concluded that "If Bird was black, he'd be just another

good guy."

That's a ringing endorsement stating yeah he's good but he's overrated. Scumbag!!!!

Once again you are taking something out of context. When the tape was played a reporter asked Isiah about that Rodman comment. Isiah repeated Rodmans comment and then laughed. Larry Bird himself called a press conference the next day to say it was a joke and defend Isiah.

I don't see the big deal. Who care's what he says. He can have his opinion on his former employee. He doesn't like him...okay..why is that a big deal. It isn't as if McHale hasn't taken shots at Marbury. The article even speaks of it. It's okay for McHale to take shots at Marbury but not the other way around? Don't get me wrong, I do think Marbury runs off at the mouth alot but in this case, I don't see the big deal. It's just not that significant to me. It happens all the time. Shaq has completely dissed the Lakers and how they handled his trade, Kobe dissed the Lakers and he still plays for them. So on and so on. And yeah, they are winners in this leauge and maybe some will say that gives them the right to speak but I don't agree. I think everyone should have that right.

These suits are nasty business and I think it gets settled.

Even Anucha will settle. Thats why they use a hyped up number. You want 10 mil you ask for 20!.

Anucha may have nothing to hide but maybe she had a brief lesbian encounter in college that many girls do when the "experiment". You want that kind of crap thrown in during a trial? Or perhaps her sister was a slut? Or her Husbands sister?

These Lawyers will stop at nothing to win and thats their job.

Likewise her lawyers will go at Isiah, Marbury, and Dolan with no shred of malice but with the full intent of doing their job which is to shred them into the worst humans ever to walk the face of the earth and make a jury believe she was a victim.

If dolan can do a "Pay per view" on Marburys testimoney then perhaps he can recoup some of the funds he'd have to pay.

Settle, they will settle.

I could care less about Marbury dissing McHale, I really don't care about that but quit talking about the Celtics not being that good. If Garnett and Ray Allen were added to the Knicks, Marbury would have been the first person in the media talking about how great they were going to be and thered be no problems with gelling. I'm so sick of the constant public crap this guy shoves onto the New York Knicks.

Speaking of Larry Bird. Didn't he say he felt disrespected when a white player would guard him??

Anyway TKF I say just let the make there threads with 50 post bashing Marbury every time he breaths or takes a step and just ignore it. If that is what makes there day then let them have there fun.

If Marbury was pulling in championships and made his teams a contender then he would be able to get away with murder. But since he doesn't win he isn't allowed to speak. Those are the rules gotta accept it.

If you withdraw the stabs about Mchale, what is so wrong with what he is saying. He isn't saying anything different than what most opposing teams/fans are thinking; he's not ready to hand over the conference to them just yet. Read it in the media and on this board and C's are gonna take the title, yet we haven't even seen them play. You know there going to be good, but they have the same issues that any newly constructed team has, they have to build chemistry. His comments of nice and nasty are typical for him, but if you extract that and the jabs at Mchale, I don't think we would be complaining if something like this came from any other respected player. If Shaq said the same thing, no one would have any problems, same goes for Kidd, Lebron, etc.

Steph is a knucklehead for sure, but hating him because he doesn't want to suck Boston's kneecaps is a bit much.

Damn, you beat me to it. Very well said. The title of this thread is misleading. Marbury isnt the spokesmam for the Knicks by the way. Also, it was nothing wrong in what he said about the Celts. Said they look good on paper but we have to see how it plays out on the court.

If anyone has access to the NBA Insdier, Joe Dumars had something to say about the Celts aswell, and they made it sound like he aint bowing down to them either. If anyone has the insider, maybe they post the link here....

Where did Marb say the Celts wasn't going to be good?

Don't think for a second that if this was the opposite situation that Marbury would be saying that. He'd be saying how great they were going to be. He's just constantly talking out of both sides of his mouth.

I think TEAM USA taught us that on paper is a load of ish.

On Paper, they should have won the gold, on the court they brought in the bronze. Steph is right, chemistry is everything.

Why is TrueBlue purposefully misleading people with this title when it has been pointed out several times that Marbury said this not the Knicks?

Of course he would, ask Doc Rivers how he feels about getting Garnett and Allen. Ask Rondo how he feels about getting these guys. Basically, when your on the opposing team, you should not be jumping for joy for your opponents success. Especially when its a division rival. I don't understand your beef. Please explain.

I don't think it matters whether he said it as himself or for the knicks. Maybe we should hold a press conference, to explain how good of a trade this is for Boston. Maybe we can talk about possible substitution patterns that might work for them. It's silly, what you people want?

My beef is that Marbury is constantly in the press. This trade had nothing to do with the Knicks so theres no reason Stephon should be the first player talking about this deal.

The other problem I have is that since Stephon is in the press SO much on anything and everything, then atleast be objective in your constant ramblings. Don't say who knows how the Celtics will play because they don't have any chemistry because you can be damn sure that if those 2 were brought to the Knicks, Stephon would be the first person saying how chemistry would be absolutely no problem and they'd be on their way to winning 50+ games.

The 3rd problem is that this gives the Celtics bulletinboard material.

Just don't say anything. Stay the hell out of the press!

Marbury speaks for himself not the whole team. The article doesnt say Knicks. It says Marbury. True Blue is probably using the misleading thread title because he knows people wont open it up otherwise.

I would say that the east has improved. I don't understand why Marbuy said anything about chemistry--we may be the biggest ? in that area with how the big players will play together. The Knicks need to collectively improve quite a bit. I wouldnt focus on the Celtics--I would only focus on the Knicks.

Why do you insist on bringing up sextrials in a Celtic thread?

Since we're talking about scumbags.

That was classic line!

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
