Stop acting like it's immediately effecting you, ****.

I'm sorry for bugging you the wrong way, let it go already jeez.

Hopefully this will make him into a man. And I mean that in the most gracious way possible...

It's not effecting us directly. Don't want to speak for everyone else here, but I sympathize with anyone who's gone through a terrible experience and what Eddy went through is terrible. I doubt you'd like having your home broken into and a gun pointed at you while your family is tied up.

As for you, the problem isn't that we are acting like it directly effects us, or are taking the internet too seriously, it's that you are being annoying and giving 21 year olds a bad name. I know 12 year olds more mature. You want to kid around, go ahead and kid around. But don't be shocked when you get a lot of negative responses or trigger a flame war. Yes, this is a virtual space, but it's also place where real people get together to talk about how they really feel about a team they are really passionate about. It's on you that you don't take other people's opinions seriously enough to be respectful just because its teh interwebs111!!one.

But seriously, bobs, that wasn't right. You should be ashamed... even though I laughed... but I hope you were kidding because that was really wrong and uncool.

I think you may wait awhile. Most people can distinguish from bad taste. This Bob guy is a classic moron.

Easy to be brave and insult someone over the internet, isn't it...

You've been here a couple months and you think you carry weight around here?

Who the **** cares what you think. I'm just a Knick fan who offers his opinions when he feels like it. On this instance it wasn't even an opinion, I was just ****in around, if it offended you say so and move along.

I've met some of the members. Have you?

I've already pissed off everyone here before, and come back from it. I'm an established pillar of this forum, whether you agree with it or not.

Ignore me or get along. Either way no skin off my back Papachump.

all this money these athletes have, you'd think they'd up the security around their home with wife and kids running around.

Cut that nonsense out. You think you're tough? Please bring that somewhere else, because you're not. As far as you meeting members on this board you haven't met me. Let me tell you this as far as you meeting other memembers instead of trying to be tough guy you should be looking at that as you had an opportunity to meet good people to talk about a sport that you are a fan of. If you don't like it take it to another board.

Now as far as Curry or anyone else getting robbed and thier family there is nothing funny about that. YOu said a joke that is not funny at all. Instead of leaving it alone you are trying to cover it up. Leave it alone. Did you think it was funny when Marcus Camby house got robbed and his sister got sexually assaulted? Do you think it's no big deal when you hear a woman get's raped? Do you say, "Oh well she could be a bad person?" Or does this just apply to Curry?

Wow, we may not know Eddy Curry but the more you open that piehole the more we get some insight into you.

"Hopefully this will make him into a man"....... I know a lot of 21 year olds and and I can say that your position on this
puts you firmly in the extreme lower percentile range based on behavior and the bile coming out of your mouth.

Being as gracious as I can: Get a clue

Here's the update, confirming what was posted on last page.

BURR RIDGE, Ill. (AP) - Three masked robbers broke into the suburban Chicago home of New York Knicks center Eddy Curry on Saturday morning and held his family and an employee at gunpoint.

Deputy chief of police John Madden said the three offenders restrained Curry, his family and an employee with duct tape inside the Burr Ridge home.

Madden said police believe it was not a random incident.

No one was injured in the incident, and the robbers made off with cash and jewelry. The value was not disclosed.

Curry's Chicago Home Broken Into
July 28, 2007 - 3:50 pm

New York Knicks ' forward Eddy Curry's home in Chicago was reportedly broken into early Saturday morning, police said. Curry may have been tied up during the possible home invasion.

Curry averaged 19.5 points and seven rebounds a game for the Knicks last season.

Curry was traded from the Chicago Bulls to the Knicks in October 2005.

"We [are] aware of the situation and are very thankful that Eddy Curry and his family are safe. He told us it was a traumatic experience. At this time we are aware that the local authorities are handling the situation," according to a statement from the Knicks

CHICAGO -- Miami Heat forward Antoine Walker's home in Chicago was robbed Monday, the player's agent said.

Police and witnesses said two offenders held Walker and at least one other person at gunpoint during the robbery, Chicago broadcasters reported from the scene in the city's River North neighborhood Monday night.

Walker's agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed the incident took place but said he could not give specific details.

"He's OK," Bartelstein told The Associated Press. "There was a robbery. It's a scary thing. It's a terrible thing. He's trying to get himself back together. Police are there and he's getting it taken care of."

Chicago Police spokesman Hector Alfaro said officers responded to a robbery at a home in the neighborhood about 7:30 p.m. EDT, but could not confirm that the home belonged to Walker. A vehicle, cash and jewelry were reported stolen and there were no injuries, Alfaro said.

Bartelstein said Walker was with a relative at the time of the incident.

Walker was not available for comment. The Heat were aware of the incident, a team official said, but had no other comment while they attempted to gather facts.

I agree these guys need to close their circles a little tighter and watch who they floss around... This is no joking matter.

You guys are showing your age.

I've heard straight from the source (I've met with Martin before; not a big deal but still...) that most of you are like 30+, some are even 40-50 and older.

I'm 21, and immature at that (well....in some ways).

I will joke about Faddy (Eddy + fatass) getting robbed at gunpoint anyday I want, and you can't do a damn thing about it.

This is America. I can drink, smoke, piss, fart, and it's all good at the end of the day...

BESIDES: I'm an internet phantom. Get over it.

One day you'll understand. One day you'll have someone else in your life that you have responsibility for and all you can think about is that persons safety and well being. If like me you've had a child die you would know a pain that no one should ever have to go thru and you'd know how hard it is to feel totally helpless in not being able to protect the ones you love.

Yeah i'm 42 and I have children that aren't much younger than you. There's just a certain degree of tact that should be recognized by anyone, whether young or old. Your youth would be an excuse if you truly didn't know better, but now your arrogant stance makes me think that you did know better and you thought it was OK to do it anyway.

I agree. I am in my mid 30's and I remember the dumb stuff I used to say when I was 21. but there is a line that should not be crossed and this is one of them. This is serious business and from the looks of it, bobs is still immature, I mean he is proabably just 3 years removed from HS., I really thinks he finds this type of humor funny during these circumstances, when a guy was tied up in front of his wife and kids, helpless and at gunpoint, I have two kids and a wife and for me that is a frightening thought. For some reason tho, the bashing of knicks players to any degree on this board seems to be welcomed and validated by some, so I knew it would just be a matter of time some classless, ill-timed remark like this would surface.... I find it sad on a forum full of adults..

Anji and bobs. You don't get it. My 15 year old son is reading this right now and he can't believe anyone would make fun of this, and he is 15. The point is, eventhough curry's family was not hurt physically, it is the mental scars that will remain. for christ sakes this happened in front of his children and curry who as a man who will probably die to defend his family was rendered helpless that plays on your mind also. I live in georgia, about 10years ago my wife and I had our house broken into and this happened in a very nice area. No one saw a thing, but as a family we felt invaded, we went out got a top of the line security system, but things were not the same. we sold the house a year later. It isn't always about physical scars guys... grow up..

I don't think flossing has anything to do with it. Athletes are millionaires...that's no secret. Affluence (whether it's a athelete or not) = an easy score to a robber. Stop stereotyping please. The doctor's home in Conn. who was recently robbed and his family was murdered. For the same reason..affulence = easy score (robber's mind). Would you tell someone of his stature the same thing? To stop flossing? It's sad, tragic and quite alarming that these things happened. And unfortunately when your are dealing with people who are devious and evil even sometimes security (the attempted assanatations of many presidents, bank robberiers, etc.) can not stop someone who is determined to do you harm you.

TKF that is the main point. If you felt invaded just having your house robbed when you werent home imagine how they must feel having masked gun man tying them up with no idea if they would live or die.

Look, I can't speak for Booooobs, but I understand all of that. I also understand Curry is a about my age and is a grown ass man who is rich, famous plus from the hood. Now I didn't read the whole thread, but I didn't see Bobs make a comment about his family, his wife or kids. Making a little light of Curry is not out of bounds.

Personally with humor is how me and my family handles things, so I definitely don't see the what is all the hub-bub is about. Especially when his family is fine.

Tkf I don't think this is about flossing. People that have seen Curry in person never see him with jewelry on. He is a NBA player that people know and it is common knowledge that they have money. Curry is a person that most describe as shy so flossing is not his style. There was a doctor upstate NY that got robbed and killed in his house. When you have money you will be a target.

Potential black on black crime that's only magnified because they are millionaires.

These type of crimes happen all the time URBAN AREAS , but only make headlines when they make a lot of money.

Especially when his family is fine.

That's the whole point my incompassionate & slightly slow fellow UK member (emphasis on "member"). Being tied up during a robbery leaves a psychological scar that may never be healed. While i wont threaten your fam like i did your man Bobs, I ask you to just for one second imagine your mom or aunt or daughter laying on the floor next you with you helpless to do anything to stop the men who are abusing your home & potentially willing to kill you so that there will be no witness. Not a pretty picture is it??? & i'm sure one that does not easily fade from memory.

So thank goodness no one was killed but I dont think we can honestly say that no one was "hurt"
