here's a quote from an SI article mentioning the ZR trade that may clear up my point a little:
Neither player is an accomplished passer: While New York added scoring and rebounding by dealing for Randolph, their fellow Knicks will realize once they throw the ball into him or Curry it probably isn't going to come back out again.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/ian_thomsen/07/19/free.agents/2.html

that's really all i'm arguing. our team is not good with ball movement, so your original comment a ways back now in the thread surprised me. ball movement can be key, but it's not the only way to score. i think eddy was effective for us last year. curry's FG% is good, but also balanced out by his turnovers. and as dominant as he can be, occasions regularly arise in games where he simply needs to give up the ball, and he needs to work on recognizing and executing.

i think we can win with eddy, limitations and all - one of those big points we agree on. but i don't think Randolph was the right guy to bring in to bring the best out of E-City. what happens this season when eddy isn't option 1, 1A and 2 (or however IT described it last year)?

where'd your sig come from? sounds biblical?
I see your points but Curry has to be aggressive on the offensive end.

As far as the quote I think the orginal text might be biblical but I may have gotten it from the 48 Laws of Power or another book.

I still don't understand why so many seem to think Zach is wrong for the team. Unless you're gonna bring in Rasheed there really aren't many true PF's who can defend and shoot with range. Zach can at least hit a face up jumper and his passing is not as bad as some think. Zach is still learning and developing his game. So I don't think that he's done learning how to play team ball. Like Curry he'll have to continue to learn how to read the situation and make the right pass. Let's just remember tho, that the PRIMARY offense is for either Zach or Curry to score the ball. The perimeter offense is there to supplement that and open up space. We don't really want to have to take 3's all game, but when teams try to double we must make them pay with the 3 or penetration. All of this is made easier by having 2 players inside who can't be left alone or one on one. Somebody is gonna be open.

You sad I switched the topic but what are you doing?
I cannot understand why in you opinion ALL moves IT did are glorious from the beginning and then you usually admit that he did the next blander only if this became absoluely obvious. I am not saying that Z-Bo is bad player. He is good.
My point is he is not bringing anything from what we need to the table and will take away time and shots from Eddy and Lee with no reason and use.

Hmm... The Jazz play two subpar defenders at the PF and C positions. Boozer, well... he's a muscle-guy. He'd have done well in the mid-90s w/ his bruiser style. In the hands-off 2000s, he's a relatively slow-footed big man who does most of his damage on the offensive end.

Okur's not so hot a defender either, and isn't a true inside threat.

The Jazz were brilliant en route to their western conference finals appearance. Granted, the Mavs weren't supposed to get killed by the Warriors... and would have been more of a challenge for the Jazz. At least we think they would have been.

In the east, I don't think Curry/Zach are that much worse defensively than Gooden/Ilgauskas from the eastern conference champs. *shrug*

The Curry of last season wasn't a particularly good defender, but he has room to become average.
