Here we go again with how deep we are and what the rotations may consist of.

It's "GROUNDHOG DAY" every season with this team

I like the minutes for the most part and the idea is to maxmize everyone and their effectiveness which I think is why you should try to keep steph at around 30 minutes no more, as well as curry. Isiah has proven he doesn't know how to use his rotation. Any coach that plays crawford 38 is a fool. Lee and Balkman are you too most important pieces to offset the lack of energy from the 4/5 positions.

If you give Lee under 30 minutes i night which i believe Isiah will it's just not smart. Same goes with Balkman, he needs to be out there 25 minutes a night. I would up Q to 20 and Jamal down to 20. I don't need eddy out there for more than 30 minutes a night either his defense is too poor, feed the big man, use him as much as you want but no reason to over use him. I guess we will have to wait till next year because of Isiah's great use of midlevel signings and lack of brain power to just buy picks instead of taking on contracts.

We have three guys that can score the ball at will Marbury, Zach, Eddy so role playing minutes are crucial, Isiah has done a good job of brining in these guys but really needs to make a move to open things up for Collins, Balkman and Lee to all play major minutes.

I'm just wondering do we like 10 man or less rotations? A little confused that's all.

Cosigned. In what way is Jared a top 8 player? He excells at NOTHING.

Maybe I'm just psycho but I still think Jeffries can be a rotation player - and a good one at that. He doesn't necessarily have to excel at anything, but he does have to be GOOD at everything. When Isiah signed Jeffries and this whole board was up in arms, I thought it was a good signing becuase Jeffries could come in play good defense and basically just scrap around. Score some points in fast break get some rebounds, get some offensive putbacks for points. Then Isiah changed the offense to be a slow, half-court offense with the focus on getting the ball downlow, which really is the opposite of what Jeffries game is because he's not going to hit alot of jumpshots and with the ball downlow he can't really run around get a bunch of putbacks.

I'm hoping with the addition of Randolph that the Knicks will be able to run a little more at certain times and Jeffries can come in and play with that unit. He's the ultimate definition of a role player and he's nothing more but he can be a very good role player if the conditions are right for him.

I think cooler heads will prevail and we will be playing 9-10 guys. Marbury has missed nearly 30 games the last 2 years Crawford how many games? Q how many games? these guys dont have it in them to play 40 minutes 82 times a year and Curry can only go 30-32 before he gets winded. Jefferies is awful-- and its almost impossible to haev balkman and jefferies in the game at same time. I prefer to get Nichols and Chandler into the fire with Mardy Collins right away so that we have a developed back end of the bench. Having no quality reserves who can shoot cost us the playoffs last year. I cant imagine we would make the same mistake. this is a stepping process and these two players have to be implemented into the back end of the rotation

If there wasn't a need to trade some players out of here, I would say go full force with youth- I'd rather miss the play offs this year as we actually own our own pick this year.

But, the truth is you can only put five players on the court at once- and we still can't put five that are better than the opponents five.

They have to take lessons learned from the SL. While I will agree that you take SL FWIW--what the Knicks did--unselfish play ending up with high quality shots good defense[getting blocked shots steals and TO's] and the ability to play at any style--fast slow team were mostly bigger and older than us but our effeciency defense and skills were way to much for those teams. We had 5 games where we turned in 20+ point positive surges either from behind or in front and that shows really good basketball. My feelings is we have to slowly cut minutes from those who are not effecient i.e putting up stats in every category on both sides of the ball and slowly intergrtae those players we just saw. I think it's a no-brainer that we just get rid of Jerome James--he's a freak show who was able to win the big lottey ticket[hey that should be his new nickname] by having one great series against Tim Duncan on a team that opened up the court due to their offensive arsenal from the outside. I don't see Dan Dickau beating out Nate or mardy Collins so no need for 4 PGs. Fred Jones did recently get signed by Toronto and perhaps we can do a multiple player trader so we can save money. But just like we did last year and the year before--we integrated the rookies who EARNED it on the court and these two-three players should be given the chance because ultimately it will be a strong long-term benefit.

My take on Jefferies--we have a better player by far for what he does--Balkman who should get 30 minutes and two rookies who play SF who RIGHT now have superior skills. I'm sorry but to me Jared Jefferies is the SF version of Jarron Collins with less intangibles.

I don't disagree Briggs. With Balkmans prescence there is just no need for Jeffries to get any minutes, not ahead of Balkman atleast. Jesus, someone shoot me for what I'm about to say.. I'm just trying to justify the signing from Isiah's standpoint.

LOL the SF version of Jarron Collins... I don't think any player in this league whats that comparison, but right now, it reins true.

there is no justifying anything isiah does when he isn't drafting we usually get worse with every move that he makes.
