Hmmm...vacation or unpaid work that I'm not required to go to. I pick vacation.
No way! Are you giving Eddy a pass on this one or are you being sarcastic? I like Eddy and even I gotta kill him because I want him to show up for minicamps like this one.

No offense, but you got to be kidding me. He makes an anniversary vacation with his wife must likely well in advance and he is suppose to cancel it because Aguire thinks it will be a great idea for the big men to work together since they acquire Randolph. There are two more this summer. It's the NBA, its not the military.
I agree with the Eddy part too bro but what can I say, I am a Knick fan. I know to Eddy thats his job, but to me its something else. I want the starting Center of the Knicks to be thinking Knicks all the time. Postpone the vacation, shorten the vacation, cancel the vacation or do what it takes to get your team to play well with you. Shoot 500 FT's a game, run underwater with 20 lbs jackets, watch game film 18 hours a day and you will be a true Knick.
I'll give you credit here for not going easy on Eddy!

He's just setting his priorities following our awesome cracked out leader in Marbury, you know the guy that was selling shoes a couple hours before a game last yr not showing up to the shoot-arounds and pre-game warmups.

EY's "BETTER HO" is more important obviously.

Do you seriously take shots at Marbury ever chance you get?

Well, it's not like he's lying. We have players that have basketball way lower than it should be on the priority list... and that's the #1 reason why we will never win a chamiponship with those guys on the roster. Guess the truth hurts.

I would bet Marburys interviews are why Berman wrote this hatchet job story.
Its all part of Bermans PR job to deflect any bad spotlight off Marbury.

If i asked you what YOUR priorities in life were, would you put JOB ahead of FAMILY?

That's clearly a different issue that the one presented here. And it's an obvious excuse from a lazy player. Not shocking.

Disagree. His Wife would probably have something to say about that.

I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'll find Eddy at a strip club, just like Zack was when he faked berevement leave. There is no coincidental honeymoon. He's lying because he feels like he's peaked as a player and has no reason to work anymore.

Alright but what does this article have to do with Marbury? I thought this was a Curry article........about Curry. Back to Eddy, he plays 9 months a year and he cannot take a 1 week vacation with his family who he cannot see as much as he wants to from October to April cause of work. Family comes first.

The Silverfuel Knick fan rant can be co-signed from here to high heaven and it won't raise it from the level of wishful thinking. We all want our Knicks to be Spartan-like obsessed at all times with improving. Co-sign times every member on this board. But the last few days we have been getting reports that Eddy has been working out like never before and we heard that only results matter.... now, becuase he isn't at one voluntary summerleague workout he's being killed before any results are in.

Simply put, other than possibly Isiah, Curry has no rolemodels to look up to on the team. Marbury sets a terrible example, and it's not shocking when it appears Curry is following that terrible example.

unfortunately, the burden of proof is on eddy. he has a reputation for underperforming, lack of desire and neglecting conditioning etc.

this "news"? it really doesn't mean much on its own. there's a lot more to the situation than we know about as fans. and we have no idea what else eddy may be up to this summer to make up for missing this one opportunity. but at some point, i think we all want to hear that eddy is going that extra mile, not saying "i had plans" or whatever in situations when it could really affect his performance.

it'll be clear on court in a few months if he's put in enough time on his game and developing chemistry with zach.

Hopefully Marbury comes in camp this year in shape, because last year he came in camp a mess. I guess last year he was too busy getting a tan and drinking peanut colads to work on his game.

It's all based on past precedence. I don't know what he's done this offseason, what's accurate, what isn't. What I do know is that for six years in the NBA, he's been a lazy player, who refused to get in shape until a contract year, refused to work hard, and now doesn't even bother trying on the defensive end of the court. He's a lazy player until proven otherwise; he WILL NOT get the benefit of the doubt when he's been a lazy ass for six years.

If he comes into camp in shape and hustling (which he hasn't done for more than a 5 minute stretch his entire CAREER), then I will say I was wrong.

Mark Aguirre interview last night: "Eddy is in great shape and way ahead of schedule. He is growing up. He also called me numerous times."

Isn't that what they said last year, right before a couple of teammates had to carry him to finish the suicide drills?

I'm speculating (and it was meant to be partially humorous). The coincidence that he's on a honeymoon kind of parallels the coincidence that a player who has a reputation as being one of the laziest players in the entire league has an excuse for not going the extra mile in a non-contract year. Weird, huh? Honestly, I don't believe that his honeymoon was unpostponable and I'm sure he had advanced notice.

Champions pay the price and do the work.

Underachieving stat whole losers make excuses for not doing the work.

You can tell who and who is not married. If my wife and I plan a week vacation and my boss calls me up and asks me to work that week....now way do I cancel and make it up by taking her up to dinner. A freaken dinner Bonn?

Family then work...and it doesn't matter how much money you are making. If it does, you better re-evaluate.

Really? How many nba championships have you won?

Tim Duncan doesnt postpone his anniversary trip with his wife to a week that is not his anniversary.

Are you married?

There are two more this summer. It's the NBA, its not the military.

The key to everything you said is that there are TWO MORE mini camps this summer. In addition i'm sure that Curry will also be getting more regular visits and sessions with Aguirre. Aguirre said that they already met face to face and Curry was in good shape, way ahead of schedule. This daily witch hunt is truly annoying.

There is this rabid group of fans that can't wait for any tidbit of negative Knicks news. I really am saddened by some of the Knick fanbase. What exactly do you get from being a fan of this team at this point? It doesn't seem like you enjoy it at all, except for the juicy stories you can gossip about and make fun of. There's a group of old ladies that meets at the park to do the same thing. Maybe you should go there and talk Knicks.
