I know you see Eddy as a franchise player and will disagree with this but I think that when you give 35 mpg to someone who is just a scoring specialist and a liability both on defense and when the ball isn't in his hands in single coverage on offense, you're inflating his stats (by playing him far more min than he should be playing).

So I guess Isiah inflated Lee stats too by giving him far more minutes that any other PF on the team.

Looks like Curry's not coming to the voluntary big man camp.

Says it's "Isiah's responsibility" to organize everyone.

And THIS is the guy we want?

Pff...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I think if you are thinking about Lee as a simple rebounder you are not really doing him justice.

1.) Lee is a superb finisher. Do you remember the Sophmore game where he was the mvp and dropped 30 points? His ambidextrous ability as well as his feel for the game make him very deadly around the basket. You put a big man in the low post who can pass adequately out of the post(like Zach) and the other team is going to pay when they double from Lee's man. Lee is the type of player you want on a team with prolific scorers like marbury and Randolph(who demand the ball to score prolifically) because he puts up points without demanding the ball. Lee averaged over 10 points a game last season, this season he could easily get to 15 with a little more playing time, and playing around a player that is a reasonably good passer out of the post. Those 15 points are even without him developing a jumper.

2.) On a team, with generally low basketball IQ, Lee is a basketball genious. Again, this is just his feel for the game. He knows where to be on the court, he knows where the rebound is going and he knows the right pass to make. Curry does not have this ability nor is it ever going to be developed to a level anywhere close to that which lee has.

3.) Lee is not just a good rebounder, he is a great rebounder. With a few more minutes he could easily be leading the league next season.

4.) Lee's defense isn't great, but it is going to get better. He lacks the length to be a very good shotblocker. However, he has great anticipation, jumping ability and feel for the game. I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks over a block a game in the near future. He will never be the type of guy that anchors a defense, but he can be a very valuable part of a good defense.

Now, to the topic at hand. Basically in Dalembart you are looking at a better version of jerome james. Dalembart is going to grab a few rebounds, and he is going to block/alter a bunch of shots. However, James would too, if he was given a few minutes on the court a game.

I think a better move would be to just trade Curry for a competent 2 guard.

We could start
James
Zach
Q
Competent 2 guard
Marbs

With Lee coming in the game for James after a few minutes each game. James isn't completely worthless, he can provide something if used correctly and his self-confidence is rehabilitated.
James started in seattle and provided a few blocks, some interior defense and grabbed a few rebounds. That is all we need.

^ Crawford is that "competent" 2 guard.

Although it depends how much of an upgrade we're talking here.

Also, Dalembert is not just an "upgrade" over James. He's ALOT better, and ALOT younger.

Crawford isn't a comptent two guard-this team could do a lot better than his poor fg%, his poor defense, and his low intelligence play.

James, for a few minutes before we bring in Lee, isn't that much worse than Dalembart. James can provide an inside presence for a few minutes to start each game. That's all we really need.

Silver,
You have to know that Curry was fed the ball in a way that no other team would have this season, right? Obviously there is a huge justification in the lottery picks he gave up.

He scored 19 pts, he had 3.5? to's and less than an assist a game. Whose game is Curry complementing besides his own game?

Lee just produces when he is out there. Whether it is a smart pass, a nice finish, a very impressive rebound....

Curry is over in new york. I hope.
