I can't get a good read on how many fans want an Artest trade to go down. Lets help the newspapers, Isiah and anyone else reading by showing them which way we lean. As a Knick fan, if you can get Artest without giving up David Lee, do you gamble?

i have always wanted artest in ny. but this time i will pass because its all pending on who is our next coach period

Now there's an interesting topic for debate - who will be the Knicks next coach? You don't think Isiah will coach next season?

Given the recent history with coaches, who would want the job?

Who the hell would take that team?

I voted no. I'd rather not add someone who's serious trouble. But if the trade involves no one of value, like the Zach trade, I can live with it.

High Flying Athletic Bull

Trading Lee is huge financial windfall if it means going deep in the playoffs

arkrud - the only fan base Dolan cares about is the one he can gain extra profits from in May. The To that end, the Rangers have added two new assets. The Knicks have added one significant piece and three more spare parts that could be inserted into the rotation within three years.

You may watch David Lee play "old style intelligent game of basketball" all season long, and it won't mean a thing unless the Knicks learn to win as a TEAM by March.

Ron Artest is as "old-school" as they come. So is the steady mister potential triple-double Mardy Collins. Renaldo is a grinder. arkrud, you also may not want to be too quick to typecast ZRandolph as the "athletic type" before you see him play.

He can't jump that high.

Mardy Collins (next at lead guard) and Balkman (frontcourt versatility) are too valuable to subtract both their unique skill sets on defense

If Lee was not on the team what will be the record for last season? 20 or 25 wins at best.
Unfortunately this kept IT in...
In general adding Artest and substracting Lee may wash IT away. So I am mixed on that. It can be good for Knicks at the end...
I think I am OK with anything right now.

Artest is 20 times the defender and player that Balkman and Collins are. You are comparing a pinto with a Ferarri.

Wouldn't Balk be affected more by an Artest acquisition because they play the same position? Balk's minutes would be cut severly, were as Lee plays PF, and can play with Artest. No?

It's not surprising, though! This team has starphucked ever since Cablevision took over.

Who do you think sells more jerseys and seats this summer and this upcoming season: David Lee or Ron Artest? If your aim is immediate cash, it's a no-brainer.
