Keep in mind what it will likely take to get these guys from their respective teams as well as contracts, team chemistry, etc.

Gerald Wallace won't come here for the MLE.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Josh Howard- Curry for Howard.

That's a great example and one the Mavs might actually do. It would make too much sense for us, though!

With Zach on the squad, this kind of deal makes more sense- push Zach to center, Lee as the 4, Howard as the 3- and then its just fix the back court.

I think we've seen the best Eddy Curry has to offer- at least Zach can board.

Eddy is cheap now- but he has an opt out that I would rather let another team worry about.

One name that no one is mentioning, but is definitely available is Corey Maggette.

kirlienko was upset he was forgotten in the offense. he had to pass up shots for boozer + okur in their pick and roll game with deron.

now we have eddy + zach...i think the situation would be worse here. i don't think he would be that much happier, plus playing in a more pressure filled market doesn't help.

i think he would be great in toronto, but that's neither here nor there.

I would want to swap Curry for a defensive shotblocking anchor anyway. Allowing Randolph & AK47 be the first & 2nd option.

With say someone like Dalembert in the middle with AK47 on the perimeter around Randolph the defense would be very strong. Replace Marbury with a playmaker we draft. And add a pure SG who is a great outside shooter and I would say we have a contender.

he's only making Artest money & his contract comes off the books after next season... intriguing option, but i think this team needs a defensive presence at the 3 to offset the lack of D at the 2, 4 & 5 positions.

it would have to be a S&T... he'd likely command $9 mil annually over a 5 year contract IMO, but if someone's crazy enough to pay him more, let them have him... maybe Isiah will offer him a max deal come to think of it.

I have a feeling----Al Harrington

that's a good guess... Isiah's always loved him... but GS has something good going over there... i don't think they're looking to break it up just yet.

There a lot of teams after Gerald Wallace- I doubt we're getting him.

if Isiah is willing to pony up the big dollars in a S&T scenario, they have a good shot at getting him (they could offer up the expirings, Wilson Chandler, Balkman & Nate)... but you have to ask yourself if it would be worth it at that point.

I think he'll be long of the market before we can use the expirings. Bobcats want Wallace back and the Mavs are among the many teams that could offer more in terms of talent.

Mavs have Josh Howard who's a better young player at the same position so i doubt very much they'd give up their best young talent & pay him big dollars to get him in a S&T.

i could maaaaybe see the Suns doing a Marion for Wallace & another asset type deal to get younger at that position & add more depth... ORL just blew their load on Rashard, so take them out of the equation... other than that, there aren't any teams out there with cap space right now, are there? unless of course he re-signs w/the Bobcats, which is a very good possibility.

Ron Artest- may be the best shot we have at upgrading the position. Shouldn't cost us significant players because of all the baggagge he has and his situation in Sacramento. Has two years remaining on his pact, which would give Wilsong Chandler enough time to prepare to start for the Knicks. A risk move that if fails wouldn't hurt that much cutting it, but if it somehow works, could be the last piece of a very intriguing year for New York.

How is every one so sure that Chandler is starter material?
Fans on this site are so funny!!! We haven't seen the guy play a single game in the NBA,
he sneaks into the first round, and we know that he's going to start in 2 years?
Gimme a break. You don't even know that he's going to be better than Balkman.

Hey, I'm not sure why the Mavs want Wallace, I've just read that he's their no.1 offseason target.

Howard can play the 2, Wallace the 3. Mavs likely don't wanna be outquicked by a 6' 8 team again
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!
