BTW, I really wish Isiah would consider trading Curry at this point.
Get a defensive center in here, and then bring in an offensive SF like Lewis.
Sell Curry while his stock is high, it ain't going any higher, and
(knock on wood) you never know when that heart is going to go bad.

The real shame of it is that JJ1 could really play a big part on this team. He was a nice defensive guy last year (better than Curry). If he really came into camp in shape and ready to defend the post, the trade could work because just see either Curry or Randolph getting to too many foul situations. I suggested a hack and bash defense and see what you can get away with every nite approach. Thomas should be able to rotate Morris, Lee and Jefferies. Hell I watch Balkman give Bosh a rough time last season.
I don't like to play bad rookies , I like to play good rookies - Mike D'Antoni

This is like going all in with 2 7 offsuit.

So what happens to the franchise for the next decade when this gigantic cluster**** backfires?

You always say "when". It's never if with you. This team isn't just going to implode as if it's preordained. Can you at least for once admit that this team is better and has a chance to make noise in the East this year? Would it kill you to take a look at what we have and admit that we're due to be better? I mean you're starting to sound silly being SO negative for what seems like some petty dislike for the players and coach of the team you claim to love. Will you still be so negative if Isiah does make another trade for a good perimeter player?

You always use "when". Like you seem to think that everybody on the Knicks will always improve as if it's preordained. So why is ok if you do it?

Like today or the other day when he said...Crawford's 3pt fg% will get better "when" he shoots the ball with his feet set this coming season.

For the most part I speak in an optimistic tone, but rarely in a definitive way about what guys will do. In fact I use "IF" quite often when it comes to players improving. In fact I believe it was you and TrueBlue who ripped me for using "If" too much. You can't have it both ways. There are times when I have confidence that something will happen, but never to the degree that you take a negative tack about what Isiah, the team or individual players will do. You want to bet on how often you take a negative stance verses how often i've said "when" something is gonna happen? Go ahead, but I don't think you want to do that.

Between Malik, Balk, Lee, Crawford, Dickau, Jones, Collins and Morris, do we have the pieces to get both Artest and Lewis? I think its possible. Not saying I would do it, but the theme is "all-in."

PG-Marbury
SG-Artest
SF-Lewis
PF-Randolph
C-Curry

QRich, one of Dickau and Collins, Jefferies, James and a handful of whoevers left on the bench.

Not gonna happen.

Did Isles not call the over reaching with the Zach Randolph trade before it happened?

You know - every time there has been a trade this board believes there will be a follow up trade to help balance the roster - and it never comes.

I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Do you dream?

I stand corrected from earlier. THIS is the understatement of the year.

The rest of your post was to reassure yourself and boost your own confidence. You really should reread your posts. Most of your posts have to do with how great we are and then your evidence is based on the fact that player xyz WILL improve. Yes, you say will, and you say it often. You also say if a lot, but if is also used as evidence by you. If is not evidence. Will is not evidence. You're speculating, often, and repeatedly, yet you state it as fact. So, I'm afraid you're the one who can't have it both ways.

According to Howard Beck: "Thomas is known to be working on another trade, both to bolster the roster and to reduce it."

the Knicks definitely need to address the issue of the lack of an interior defensive presence, because this team is bound to struggle the same as it did last year without one... only problem is there aren't many physical, defensive C's available in a trade at this point... now that we're pretty much capped out til 2010 & Dolan is on the spending kick again, a guy like Brad Miller might be an option to target... if he would come as part of an Artest package, & the Kings want to rebuild their franchise, then maybe something can get done there... that would upgrade the interior & perimeter defense in 1 fell swoop.

I'll take a shot at explaining.

Eny, if you asked me, "doesn't the sky look a little cloudy tonight?"

And I responded, "Eny, the sky is absolutely beautiful, perfect! Best thing I've ever seen!! OMG this weather rules!!! And it will only get better!"

Eny: "But there's a storm front moving in, I heard on the radio... and it's raining already!"

And I responded, "What a beautiful day, it doesn't get any better than this, pass the pina coladas."

Would you or would you not beat my ass?

I rest my case.

OK, I have an idea.
What if we ask nixluva to say two sincere things he does not like about this team,
and isles to say two sincere things he does like about this team.
Then they can both be appear a little less extreme in their views.

Unless of course one of them has nothing to say in that regard.
In which case....

Howard Beck is on Isiah's jock as much as Aguirre or nixluva.

In every article he throws out one possible negative as if to prove that he really is unbiased and objective.

I have nothing against the Dark Side but come on, I'm the one that's always been against Isiah and Dolan. If anything, I'm the good guy in this.
