Posted by Finestrg:Posted by Swishfm3: what we're giving up is any shot whatsoever of being under the cap in 2 years... which means no chance at all of getting legit franchise level superstars via free agency... for what? 4 years of Zach Randolph? i'll pass. People (including me) foolishly used the "look how little we're giving up" argument to justify the Francis trade. That doesn't work.

I never was a fan of Zach Randolf. Hated his character, and his defense is awful.

He'd fit the Isiah type of player perfectly, though.

So does this mean that we are going to give up on defense all together?
Actually I don't mind the trade if it's Francis and Frye and we get back Webster. But it makes me feel like we have to trade for the top Defensive SF, SG and PG in the league. ~You can't run from who you are.~

so we're adding $61 million dollars in salary due to Zach Randolph over the next 4 seasons, & SAS is ranting about how Isiah was able to unload Steve Francis' contract, which is roughly about half contract wise in dollars & length of years???
then we throw in Channing Frye to get back 2 expiring contracts of Fred Jones & Dan Dickau, 2 young players who haven't done much of anything in the NBA since they were drafted themselves. sorry if i don't jump up & down over this one... i would have much preferred to simply buy out Steve Francis & trade Frye in a deal to get Ron Artest... at least his deal expires the same season as Marbs, & he'd actually add a dimension to this team that we NEED. oh brother... Zach Randolph is now a NY Knick... the 1 guy i would have thought Isiah would not be crazy enough to trade for, & he goes & does it. TMS - you ain't heard? We need to have insurance in triplicate at every frontcourt position. And we do. This team has NO needs. We just sprinkled some toppings on our dessert. MMMMM. yum.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Posted by joec32033: Balkman better increase his blocking next season. LOL, Chandler instantly become the 2nd best defender on this team. I don't like to play bad rookies , I like to play good rookies - Mike D'Antoni

lmao.
channing is such a loveable nerd. DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure.
And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
