I believe Isiah has come out and said that he would not trade Curry in a package for Kobe. But if the Lakers were willing to get the deal done if Eddy was involved, would yo do it? For theoretical purposes, lets say the deal on the table is: Eddy, Jamal, Lee + no.23 and a future no.1 for Kobe But you can assume your own variation- the key question is whether you'd deal Eddy.

He would be S&T say a 1yr deal anywhere between $6-8mil. If I'm not mistaken of course any players not currently under contract can't be involved in deals prior or day of draft.

I didn't know that. The Bulls may have to get creative. They are under the cap so salaries don't have to match as long as they don't go over. Just giving up Ben and Deng might not be enough to meet the cap criteria. If they trade Duhon and renounce Sweetney I guess they'll be alright. Maybe they do a Deng, Gordon, Duhon, 9th pick, for Kobe and Farmar.

Yeah- what I was referring to when I said a "bad PJ Brown contract" was that in order to do a sign and trade you have to give him something like 3 yrs/ 24 mil. I'd rather take Malik Rose's deal than that.

I have been reading a lot about how we will and will not get kobe. Out of curiosity would a curry + filler for Odom and bynum be a plausable trade. I dont know if someone sugeested that already on a differnt tread. It just seems more likely to happen before kobe. I don't really know the politics a work here but i think i might be satified with that trade. If we get to keep lee and the some of our young guys. We get younger at center and better at the 3 spot. But hey im all for kobe if we can keep curry.

What has Shaq won by himself? Nothing. How many titles did Wilt amass before he got to play with several HOFers around him? None. Wilt had to change his game before he ever won anything and he had plenty of help by then.

Actually Shaq has been to the finals with all 3 teams he has played on while Kobe is lucky to get in the playoffs and cant win a single round without Shaq.

Kobe won 34 games with Lamar Odom and Caron Butler 2 years ago and now is pulling yet another Kobe first tantrum.

'96 he had Lil Penny. and they got Swept by Hakeem the Dream's Team.
'97-'99 he won nothing. perhaps a couple playoff series.
'00-'02 he won with Kobe
'03 had three HOFers and lost in the finals
'04 had Dwade. Lost.
'05 he won with Dwade.

The "what has he won by himself" argument is silly. It's not like he's played without Shaq for very long. That he's made the playoffs a couple of times in a very deep conference with Lamar Odom as his main secondary player and mostly marginal guys rounding out the roster is fairly impressive, IMHO.

Ofcourse you have other guys on the court but Shaqs teams have always won in the playoffs championship or not. Kobe hasnt done squat without Shaq despite having Odom and Caron Butler as well for a season.

Kobe is the ultimate me first guy.

We finally have a good group of young guys thinking team first. I'd rather not bring this kind of selfish demanding player on board nor gut our youth to do it. Kobe is a better player than David Lee but I'd much rather win some day with David Lee than anything with Kobe. If Kobe cant win with Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom what makes people think he will be winning with our 33 win team once it is gutted up and our up and coming youth plus future draft picks are traded away? If this was a young Lebron I would be 100% for it but I cant stand Kobes attitude

Kobe/Curry/Marbury is a much more potent 3 some than what we currently have now... i'm pretty sure the Knicks win at least 42-48 games with that & whatever else they have left next season in the East, if not more... that easily gets them a #3-#6 seed in the first season alone, a pretty big jump from where this team was last season.
