So does every other GM in the league when it comes to the draft-but somehow Isiah is viewed as the one that is never wrong? Maybe he just has the gift of clairvoyance the other GM's lack. Isiah's missed before. No just here. No GM is perfect. Ask Atlanta how collecting SF's worked for them because Isiah is doing the same thing at SF and PF just to cover Curry's deficiencies.

c'mon joeC.... Who said anything about a GM being "wrong"?

The operative words are due diligence.

Seriously, like I said before, we all know that Isiah likes to play games. But eventually your reputation catches up with you. If you are constantly playing games everyone knows you are playing games and it loses it's effectiveness.

Exactly what the term says. Isiah tries to find the diamond in the rough. He tries to find guys he thinks he can develop and that no GM will look at. Sometimes too much thinking is not a good thing. Sometimes face value is good enough.

and how exactly does one measure that over-thinkability?

face value?

you mean like the face value attached by sports writers?

joeC - every single GM has a checkered history of draft picks. The point I was making had absoluteley nothing to do with being "right" or "wrong" but rather the investment of due diligence.

scouring the bushes

judging raw talent

and knowing what the heck you are evaluating

so trying to dupe 29 other GMs and dozens (hundreds?) of beat writers isn't part of the job description?
