what kobe said is that he would've signed with the clippers or the bulls back in 2004 if he knew what was going to happen.

chicago has to be rumored in any trade.

Scott Skiles & Kobe- wonder if that would last the first month of training camp?

I already alluded to this in the other thread. There was strong indications he would have signed with the Clippers if they would have granted his request to move that Franchise to Anaheim. I mean can any believe how ridiculous that request is?

yeah he made a lot of good points, SAS didn't do his usual interjection and start screaming at him, and pretty much agreed with him at the end.

not a chance, they were doing fine actually when lamar and luke were both healthy and one of the better teams in the west. with our garbage they would fizzle to the worst record in the west......

Outgoing
Kobe Bryant
6-6 SG from Lower Merion (HS)
31.6 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 5.4 apg in 40.8 minutes
Incoming
Eddy Curry
6-11 C from Thornwood (HS)
19.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 0.8 apg in 35.2 minutes
Jamal Crawford
6-5 SG from Michigan
17.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 4.4 apg in 37.3 minutes
Nate Robinson
5-9 PG from Washington
10.1 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.4 apg in 21.2 minutes
Randolph Morris
6-11 C from Kentucky
-Plus pick 23

The Knicks would give up anything for the sheer fact they don't care about anything other than raising ticket prices, selling merchandise and packing the place this deal does that.....

Thats the closest thing to a deal and they would probably want frye involved instead of nate.......

They would probably do that deal and than move Bynum, Brown for Kidd

Kidd
Crawford
Walton
Odom
Curry

In all honesty, we don't have the goods to get Kobe. But with 3/4 of the league vying for Kobe's services, guys like Rahard, Artest and G Wallace may get put on the back burner. Hopegully one of those guys slips through the cracks and we can scoop one of them up.

yea, and3/4 of the teams in the NBA don't matter. Now NY, Boston and Philly would matter again with a guy like Kobe and the NBA would get a big boost with these teams being better. But don't be fooled, the knicks have a lot of young bodies to throw at LA, some attractive pieces. guys like artest and Gerald wallace have too much baggage, either injury prone or headcases..

It will be interesting. I doubt he comes to the Knicks, though.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I say trade anyone on the team except Curry to get him...

Did Marbury improve himself enough his year to be anything of a trade asset?

Even so, I can see way more teams offerring better deals. The no-trade clause might be helpful though, as I can't imagine him wanting to go to some small market even if they can offer up better players.

lakers don't pick up the phone unless curry is involved.

I am confuse, why would the Lakers care about Curry if Bynum is there? Unless Kobe was right on about the hype surrounding their younger players. Everyone in the universe knows that Bynum should have been traded in a move to get Jason Kidd. Sign and trade VC and Marcus Williams for Kobe, I am sure it will also cost the Nets this year's pick. You know Kobe wants to get to NY but I don't see it.

I want to watch the knicks win games, not just Kobe score points.

He is the best player on the planet but other than watching a guy score points what good is it if you don't have the RIGHT players around him.

Curry-Kobe is a must. You got your inside out right there.

3rd piece is defensive blocker/rebounder. We have no such player.

4th, Point guard sharp shooter. The guy to take the game ending shot when Kobe is triple teamed and we Curry is swimming in gravy. Clutchbury?

5th Jeffries. He can hang on this team as role player.

3rd piece is the key on any Kobe-Curry team.

Kobe got a no-trade clause? And Lakes don't have to trade him either!

Lakes can get a core of

Bynum
Gorden
Deng
Ty Thomas

Knicks can't match that.

Im gonna guess Kobe either wants NY or Chicago.

Lakes can do a three way.

Its fun either way you look at it.

I just don't want the knicks to strip the team to bring in Kobe for the Starphuch. Make it purposeful!

Kobe for Wade is good for both Heat and Lakes. Padre Riles can make it work.

Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas and the #9 pick for Kobe.

Knicks don't have enough for JO or KG much less Kobe.

Curry is their best chip. That says it all.

Wouldn't that go against the Bulls having no option or future to improve their team Isles?

Also I bet Phil bails if KOME is traded, which will seal the deal on how much of a FRAUD he's been.

I am not sure if Kobe would want Chicago. I think his list is down to maybe 4 teams but going behind MJ may not be up there. I can see in NY or NJ for sure. Also I could see him in T-Wolves jersey too. My guess is Kobe wants to play with a big men. Orlando is another possibility. In truth there are few teams that can make this trade. LOL, you have to have near max contract guys on your team to make it work as well. You can't trade 5 guys for one.
