I concur. I can honestly say that I have never played a michael jackson song in my life. When i go to a bar and they put one on im usually headed toward the door. I actually just had this argument with my boss a couple days ago. Yeah I know hes influential, etcetcetc thriller this and thriller that. But I dont listen to Madonna or the rolling stones either. The beetles get no airplay in my ipod. I told you im a 90's child, not an 80s baby. So i dont get down with that stuff.

At the end of the day a fool and his money will part always. 50 is a fool, he is not an innovator or a trendsetter, this guy is reaping the rewards of todays rap financial windfall, there are a ton of guys in this game making money in other areas and it was simply based on timing, their timing of being in the game at the right time and the willingness to compromise their integrity for the sake of a buck. The vitamin water deal, I don't know the specifics, but good for him. call it hustle, call it what you want, but I don't respect that clown at all, his resume outside of the vitamin water deal, sucks...

There has always been POP and MUSIC. They do not overlap. 50 is POP, and guys like Nas are MUSIC.

Very few bands are awesome enough to be both great music and make a lot of money. Led Zeppelin is the only one I can think of right now.

50 is what Kiss was back in the day. One good album which was really just average in reality, and a lot of good business. Are they good music? No, but KISS is still a brand name.

So respect 50 for being a talented entertainer, but do not listen to his music if you are looking for something of substance. But I bet you still don't mind when they play his crap in the club, cause that is what its meant for anyways. Just something to bump and grind to.

You have to understand and accept that at least 60% of people in America, and probably 80% in most other countries are retarded and will buy POP up like its gold. Fools are there so the rest of us make money of off them.
