briggs i mean i love it i just can't see phoenix pulling that trigger. i dont think they'll give up on diaw that early and if they do i think they'll ask for more.

whats to say after a season of playing together and an offseason diaw cant play with amare and set him up like he was setting up everyone else last year in the playoffs w/ STAT out?

I believe Diaw could probably put up 15 points a night for us- the problem is we need to clear some guys out like Q & Crawford because there is no way for Crawford and Diaw to get theirs every night- and a player like Diaw is just more efficient than Crawford...

Diaw could put up 15/7/6 for us and guard 5 positions

Well, Atlanta got the third (and 11th) pick in the draft.
I think it's safe to say that Phoenix is going to be trading one of their picks, which sit right after ours.
Who knows, maybe Atlanta will sell the 11th, they have a bit too many young uns.

Hmmmmm

It we want Diaw, all we have to do is take on Marcus Banks' contract and it is a done deal. In fact a trade of Diaw and Banks and the #23 and #29 pick for Frye, Nate, and Rose should work.

Not a great deal for us, but if you want Almond and possibly another good player at the end of the round, we have to use our great unlimited budget to get it done.

This trade or any trade was dependant on the suns getting the number 4 selection in the draft which they did not so don't expect them to make any moves now.

I agree that the Suns would be more likely to trade if they had gotten the 4th pick, but they are still in win now mode and also have to deal with avoiding the luxury tax. Simply put, they are paying Amare and Marion max money and Nash near max money and Diaw makes $9 mill. That is alot of salary for four players. For a chance to get rid of Banks contract, they might be willing to part with Diaw, especially if we give them young and cheap prospects in Frye and Nate.
