10 bucks says draw baby.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

All those unanswered shots by Hoya didn't help, but it should have been a draw.

Such BS.

Fuck you guy. You're going by HBO's electronic stats.

I go by what I see, and I've seen enough fights to have a good feel for how it should've ended up.

^ Obviously.

I mean I give him credit, he's lightning in a bottle, and to be honest the fight could've been better, but yea I still feel in my gut it should've been a draw.

Seriously dude..I'm a huge fan of the sport and look at it tactically...Oscar was never a threat and never mounted any offense outside of his jabbing in two middle rounds...I'm not a homer but a huge fight fan calling it like I see it...Funny that all the HBO commentators saw what I saw...

^ Funny how the commentatorS saw what I saw on the channel I watched.

Mayweather imposed his will more toward the end, De La Hoya imposed the tempo.

The only reason Floyd got it was b/c heh finished off the fight stronger and left a lasting impression.

And sure you can throw in the "stats", but stats can be wrong and alot of those punches that "connected" hit Oscar's gloves.

Stylistically Floyd is just "prettier" and more efficient and flashier.

Oscar had to hurt him or else it was gonna end up this way.

I still call it a draw though. But maybe I'm biased, whatever.

it doesn't matter anyway.

i don't watch boxing that much, and the fight didn't match the hype.

it could've been alot better imo.

It was a decent fight...much like what I expected...too much pre-fight hype..I though Floyd would have been more dominant but Oscar fought well defensively not allowing Floyd to take over the fight...Fight fans will like it..Occasionals won't..It really didn't match the hype....

mayweather was sticking & running all night... i know that's his style, but i for one don't like that style of fighting... i wanna see these guys mix it up like Sugar Ray & Hagler... that's what the fans wanna see... for his part, i thought De La Hoya tried to get into some exchanges, but Mayweather would just tie him up, run & duck everytime... i gotta say tho, that the guy is lightning quick & those punches he throws are like a blur... u don't see them coming & all of a sudden, WAP! i hope there's a rematch, but Mayweather said he's retiring... we'll see what a possible 8 figure payday would say about that one... something tells me there'll be one.

i don't like the guy's attitude though... coming out wearing the Mexican colors & the sombrero was kinda classless if u ask me.

Nah...very tactical fight by two highly skilled fighters. Its pretty much what I expected. Styles make fights and both are professional boxers (not fighters). Maybe you prefer a slug fest like Gatti vs Ward, but neither are as skilled in the sciences at Mayweather and De la Hoya.

Mix it up like Sugar ray and Hagler? Maybe you should go watch that fight again. Aside from the last 30 seconds of each round, Sugar was sticking and running that whole fight. There were a few exchanges but not many.
