Don't believe the anti-earl hype
It looks like it's becoming the vogue to feel sorry for misterearl these days, even by misterearl himself.

Undercover Shill Brotha?
hey, that's kinda catchy blueseats. But not so close as having an opinion and being willing to duke it out with anyone who cares to trade verbiage sans the amateurish insults.
misterearl, don't glorify yourself. I still recall our first exchange. I made a remark about Marbury, in a game thread, directed toward no one. You purposely insulted my intelligence by telling me I "should go to college". Having already done so, I replied "maybe I should have gone to an engineering school, like Steph".
You drew first blood, and I took it with humor. I took it as a bonding experience. No need for you to feel so wounded when you get some of your own.
BlueSeats - everyone writes with a personal slant. If mine does not agree with yours then so be it. Scroll on by.
Now I need to ignore everything I don't agree with? I thought you just said you like to duke it out with anyone who has an opinion?
Then again, If you can show me an "objective" writer on this board, I will be the first to send you a medal... made of aluminum foil and used bubble gum.
Selena does not lose points with me because she is a woman. She loses points for the lack of originality in her content, and the spiteful tone of her writing that speaks to an anti-Knicks agenda.
She didn't stick around very long.
have a nice Summer
You spoke longingly for someone who writes "creatively" and who wasn't part of the "good ol' boy". As a gifted female writer Selena qualifies on both counts. But then you make clear by "creative" you mean someone who supports Isiah. And by disparaging the woman's movement and indirectly call hera "b!tch," you make it quite clear that to be outside the "good ol' boy" network they must bring a black activist slant to qualify.
So the reality is you don't really care if the writer is creative, or outside of the ol' boy network, because anyone who doesn't meet your specific black-male needs gets penalized down to a D-.
Somehow my drawing that distinction qualifies as "amateurish insults" or "racial arrows"? What's the harm in my observing what you yourself make obvious? Why not just come straight and tell us you want more black writers who support Isiah and save us the dance?
And for the record, I enjoy your participation here, and believe it or not, I support your activism. Sometimes it's a distraction from basketball and the Knicks, (like insinuations that if a person likes Lee but not Marbury they are deluded by racial preference,) which is how you draw a disproportionate amount of attention to yourself. But so be it, the earl is okay in my book.
So let me know when you're ready to duke it out "with anyone who cares to trade verbiage", but let's not rule out amateurish insults for I'd hate to deprive you of half your arsenal.
