Oh really?

Was he a franchise player 3 years ago?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

It was nice to give Randolph Morris a taste of first-class travel arrangements instead of sending him home to Atlanta - but throwing him on the floor for long stretches against seasoned pros could have dome more damage than good to his confidence.

There was no precedent for such a transition in the history of the NBA. Why push him?

Once he gets oriented, settles in and catches his breath - Morris will have the opportunity to orient himself and adjust his game to the new pace.

Summer League here we go

on the other hand, if he can't handle 5-10 minutes a night in games that have zero playoff implications when the roster is down to 7/8, can we expect much of him later?

Learn the set plays and D, sure, but learn them quick.

If Morris needed to get oriented then he should have not played entirely I guess.

Are you questioning a guy who hasn't played yet? Thats the classic NY mentality. HE must be a bum, get rid of him.

Seems like you're just hating to hate.

If he wasn't a franchise player, he was at least showing he was well rounded, didn't have any severe limitations, and could become one. He wasn't an F'n ***** girl player like Eddy.

dude, re-read my posts, I was hoping that Morris played MORE this season. I was suggesting in my last post that if the excuse for Morris not playing much over the past 5 games was that he needed to be oriented than he should not have gotten any burn at all.

Morris played everyday in practice against the first teamers i'm pretty certain. There's no reason to ask "can we expect much of him later". It's being snide for the sake of it.

dude, it's about context. re-read my post. Maybe I was unclear: I wanted Morris to play more minutes this year.

The "can we expect much of him later" was a dig at the excuse NOT to play Morris over the last 5 games of the year. Earl was suggesting that if he did play his confidence would be wrecked and I took the extreme opposite in a way to suggest that the line of thinking was off.

I see what you're saying. I don't see it as a big issue. No one can hate this kid or this pickup yet. Morris being here three months before our other first round pick is gravy. Any judgement oughtta be reserved.

true. I still wanted Isiah to play him about 10MPG after he arrived though.

Oh really, you so sure of that?

Yao could BARELY play 33 minutes just a few years ago, he was (and still is) a mediocre rebounder for his size (as is Curry but even worse), and he was constantly KILLED on switches.

Yao used to get posterized and crossed tons, atleast Curry is quicker on his feet.

You wanna talk soft -- Yao was arguably every bit as soft, and probly softer, than Curry is now.

Ridiculous. There's nothing softer than a defender who INTENTIONALLY moves out of the way on defense so he doesn't risk getting in foul trouble. Isiah allowing him to play that way is an embarassment to the league and insulting to the intelligence of the fans. Then again, a lot of fans buy into it, so what does that say about them?

Yeah some people are on drugs, he is 7'6 how many players at that size can play more than 33 minutes. Eddy is a 6'11 fat dump that played career high minutes this season at 35 previously under 30 every year

Yao for his career 8.9rbs 1.9blks 1.4ass (worst rebounding season 8.2)

Curry for his career 5.5rbs 0.8blks 0.6ass (worst rebounding season 4.4)

Curry is the sofest player in the NBA, he never takes responsiblity to his actions complains about not being an AllStar, he is the designated hitter of baseball.

He says, its just shows what kind of man skiles is. Look at your numbers fat boy

04-05 Bulls 29min 16.1pts 5.3rbs 2.6tos 0.6ass 0.9blks .3stls
06-07 Knicks 35min 19.5pts 7.0rbs 3.6tos 0.8ass 0.5blks .4stls

04-05 Bulls 54%fg 72%ft Games 63 336-730
06-07 Knicks 58%fg 62%ft Games 82 585-1016

he (YAO) was (and still is) a mediocre rebounder for his size.

What are using for the basis for this conclusion? Comparing him to other 7'6 players? Increase in height does not mean you will get an increase in rebounding.

eddy has played 9 games this month at 36 mins a game.
for those 9 games, he has...ONE block.

designated hitter is a GREAT way to describe him.

Designated hitter... classic! Great stuff and so accurate. The only problem is, they don't let us have an extra defender on the court since Eddy isn't trying. It's kind of like having the 12 year old-retarted ballboy playing third base.

Oh wait... bad analogy. The ballboy TRIES.

just as he built on his season averages from 05-06

if a player lie Eddy is on an improvement curve I really don't see the necessity to diss him constantly, or call him derrogatory (MS) names

I think we'll see his scoring improve the most.
