Permanent suspension is a little harsh. I'm sure Nalod just took a joke too far; it happens. And yes it's disgusting. Hope the admins delete it... but if you want to consider banning posters, start with mistertroll.

A little harsh but it was my 9 year old son who pointed it out to me?

Ugh. Okay that is pretty terrible. Sorry, man.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

True. Right about the time that the Knicks are giving up another unprotected lottery pick to Utah, I expect Charlotte to be a top 4 team in the east.

I just figured the Bulls and Raptors would be easiest since they're on tv often and already on the verge of really good things. And to think, both of those teams finished far behind the Knicks the year Isiah got here.

The pick to Utah. It's about top 20 something protected for the 10 years after the Marbury trade. If we have a higher lotto pick than that for the 10 years after, we still keep our pick, and after the 10 years, Utah wont get anything.

I thought it was protected up until 2010 at which point it becomes unprotected and the Knicks have to give it up.

According to NBAdarft.net dj you're 1 spot too high on each yr. It's...

Utah receives a 2007 New York first-round pick (top 24 protected in 2007, top 23 protected in 2008, top 22 protected in 2009 and unproteced in 2010) (Tom Gugliotta trade 021904) via Phoenix (Marbury trade) Phoenix receives a 2005 New York Knicks first-round pick. (010504 Marbury trade).

I think the Knicks were on pace for a 38 to 41 win season before the Crawford/Lee injuries occurred. The wheels really fell off the wagon when Q-Rich called it a season and Francis sprained his ankle.

We were still technically in the race until Marbury got hurt too.

New Jersey (40 wins, w/ a chance for 41) and Orlando (39 wins, with a chance for 40) made it.

As far as giving up more for Curry - well, hey, we ended up with a worse record than the Bulls, so we were going to be swapping picks regardless. Sure, the fact that we've slipped behind Philly and Charlotte is pretty annoying, but *shrug*. That makes the loss a top-5 pick.

the magic have 39 wins. with a game to play tonight.

we were pretty much playing .500 ball until the injuries hit. we could've gotten better, stayed the same, or gotten worse. but if we just continue with that trend, then like you said, we'd be in the 38 win range which may not have been enough to make it.

and in our case, slightly missing the playoffs, or missing it badly only matters to chicago. for us, it means nada.

uhhhhhh not quite

26-32 when Lee and Crawford were out

26+32=58gms. 26wins/58games=44.8%. 44.8%*82gms=36.75wins projection

TrueBlue,

It's not quite that black and white. That was our winning percentage at the time. We were in the middle of a long term trend of playing about .500 ball... and the Knicks looked like they were gelling, becoming more consistent from a effort standpoint. Seemed like the team was ready to actually string together a few wins and finish off the last few months o f the season above .500.

7-8 in January.
6-5 in February (including the loss after the big Miami win, Crawford's last game - so they were technically 6-4 at the time)

At 26-32, if they finished off the season at 12-12, they would have ended with a 38-44 record, 3 games under .500. So... given how the Nets/Orlando finished, the Knicks really needed to go 13-11 the rest of the way.

Given how we were playing at the time (Lee getting starter minutes, Balkman emerging, Marbury accepting his role, and Crawford/Curry both on fire)... certainly a 13-11 finish seemed reasonable, with a 15-9 finish not outside the realm of possibility.

A little harsh but it was my 9 year old son who pointed it out to me?

For that I am sorry. I thought it was clear that objectionable circumstances would warrant a poster to use the "turn of photos" so I thought it would not offend.

I'll share the thought process so nobody thinks im totally wacked:

A typical marketing subliminal trick is to show ejaculation "images" without actually showing one. A popping bubbly cork is a very graphic depiction of this. So I take it to an extreme and type in google images "ejaculation" and on the 2nd or third page that photo comes up. No pun intended.

I work for a large multinational firm and we have firewalls all over the place so I can't go into objectionable sites and pull down what I want. The photo was among medical graphics.

Granted the photo was over the top, but other than the bodily function in mid stream (pun intended)it was really harmless.
Unless a 9 year old looks at it.

Im sorry if anyone was offended or stimulated by it. Again, I thought people turn off the photos in places it may not be appropriate. Half the photos in the Alba thread I would not let anyone see. When my kids are in the room with me I don't let any photo get scene.

I promise to be more careful going forward.

Ban me? Oh please point that moral sh!t somewhere else. I have not seen my E-mail yet tonite But im sure Martin will ask me to chill a bit. And he knows I will.

Briggs, Im sorry man. I crossed the line in humor and good taste. I hope no harm was done.

Bonn, your asking just makes it even funnier than it is! Oh, and you'd have loved the picture!

-Dolan was confident in Isiah which is why he extended when he did. He felt the team was capable was executing the strategy of winning a championship.

Sounds like Jerry West ain't coming because theres no chance Isiah is going to want him here. It's too bad.

Reminds me of that movie 'Lord of the Rings: Return of the King' were the King had a spell put upon him and he ruled the whole kingdom, while under the white wizards grip. Well' that's about the same thing that is going on here. And not a soul can do anything about it. Not'ta one!

We never thought we were a lottery team."

That's because Zeke told him that. Instead, we ended up being the second worst team in the league, and one of the worst of all-time, because of starbury and Browns in-fighting. Two guys Thomas put together. It just sickening to know this same exact person is here four more years! Dolan is a cancer on this team. Plain and simple!
I'll never trust this' team again.

I should have saved that Tracy Chapman thread for today. It's most appropriate now.

It's not like you can't' go grab it from the other thread, isn't it?

Is there anyone that wants the bulls to get a top two pick?

I hope John Paxon just clobbers the Knicks for dealing with them in the first place. This would reflect on Thomas and Dolan big time!
I'll never trust this' team again.
