Well, I agree that the fans didn't criticize Balkman because he's white, but you also gotto consider that the lighting may affect the look of his skin pigmentation just a little bit, and I don't think fans realize that Balkman is probably not giving his full effort to change this, and therefore, he definitely needs to be yelled at a lot more. He's really a softy in my eyes for this.
Interesting point, let's see what SAS has to say about this. I'm sure he will be ranting.
I also noticed that Jamal and Q haven't been criticized for faking their injuries today. They must have undergone that radical "turn me white" surgery I've heard so mucha bout.

I know you're trying to be "funny" here, but you come across like an Uncle Tom, duke. The posts I have read from you concerning racial issues have been interesting to say the least.
Labeling someone on a thread that is so overtly framed as a joke-especially since there was a thread not two weeks ago about Lee not being criticized because he is white:
http://www.ultimateknicks.com/forum/topic.asp?t=20837&page=1 is just ridiculous. Especially because some of your opinion was arguably controversial with some of the stuff you said on the Lee thread about him being white:

"breaking news" People root for a player because of his color. I love the way we argue over the obvious. There are a lot of white people that like David because he is white. So what.
People of color have every right to feel suspicious and question what they believe to be race based favoritism given that this is a white male dominated society, the foundation of which is built largely off of racism.
I'm not going to veer this thread into a different direction, but to shrug your shoulders and say "so what" is a very white thing to do.
Its so common to see black players attached with the label of lazy and having "a low b-ball IQ". Black and White players are definitely viewed through different prisms by the media and the fans which is what SAS is referencing.
SAS is right to raise the issue. Perhaps he is wrong and off base on this particular issue, but he is right in raising what he believes to be a double standard. I appreciate SAS's black male perspectives, they are a much needed counterbalance. Shame that some people are intimidated by it, and feel he "plays the race card" (whatever the hell that means). Guess that is easier to say than engaging in mature dialogue.
Is Chris Rock a racist? He says overtly outrageous stuff about Whites, Blacks, Mexicans. Carlos Mencia? Eddie Murphy?-He hit up Sicilians pretty hard about 20 years ago. Richard Pryor?
