Nice to see you out of the kitchen and back on the board. Just a bit of advice how about leave talking about sports to the men. If you get a new recipe for peach cobbler, or maybe a hot tip on a new moisturizing cream then post.

So Lee wanted to play

Lee: I wanted to play

By MARC BERMAN

David Lee broke his silence at the morning shootaround and admitted he was ready to play Wednesday night vs. the Sixers when Isiah Thomas dealt him his season's first DNP.

Lee will dress tonight again vs. the Wolves, hoping Thomas uses him this time. After the Sixers' game, Thomas said Lee dressed as an "emergency'' body. The truth is Renaldo Balkman was going so good, Isiah probably didn't want to take a gamble with a rusty Lee.

Yesterday, Thomas admitted he was hesitant to play him because he hadn't had practice time. Lee had missed 17 of the last 18 games with a mysterious stress fracture in his leg.

Lee was upset after the game, whisking out of the Garden quickly, saying only, "There's a reason I wasn't in there (the locker room).''

Yesterday, Lee blew off reporters. Today his anger had apparently settled.

"I was ready to play but I didn't get any practice time in under my belt,'' Lee told The Post. "So it was good to get in a practice yesterday. So I understand why Isiah wanted me to get a practice in.''

"I definitely wanted to get in,'' Lee added. "At the same time, I understand it. Hopefully I'll get a chance to contribute tonight.''

"Hopefuly I'll get a chance to get in there and help our team,'' Lee said. "It's definitely not at full strength but I'm going to go out there and give it everything I got.''

Weird stuff is going on. Is ISAYUGH trying to make sure Lee is as healthy as possible because he wants to trade him?

So why have him dress and think that he was going to play?

Great communication.

Why is it a State's secret what doctors said to Lee...

After their screw ups with countless other Knicks players, you think there is any reason why Dolan WOULD want their prognosis to come out?

I thought the knicks changed some of their medical staff around- and that the ones that had dealt with mcknee and houston are gone.

They did. And so far this season that new crew have screwed up with Lee, Jamal, and possibly Francis. This isn't even counting letting Q in and out of the lineup, letting Marbury play through all this pain if it in any way can endanger his future career....

They did exactly what they was hired for. To screw the players and have exuses for IT/Mills and Co

Frankly, I think Lee is getting a little uppity and when you greenlight players to grumble about coaching decisions this is what you foster.

What goes around comes around.

I agree. Lee needs to stfu a little bit. He's getting an ego from all the fan stroking he gets.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I really enjoyed watching Lee limping around and grimacing in obvious pain.

The Knicks medical staff and management are doing an awesome job handling his injury.

Meanwhile Marbury was laying on a pile of towels Laughing His Azzz Off on the sidleine because of a mild Toe sprain aggravating his Turf Toe. His shoes are killing him no padding.

As we all saw today, Lee is still not right. So if he was mad he didn't play, which I am not convinced of, he was probably in the wrong because he could barely move.

On the positive side, he took and made a long jump-shot which looked purer than any I had ever seen him shoot before. I think he has been working on his shot while hurt. I remember once Gerald Wilkins was hurt so he drilled his shooting by shooting from a chair. when he came back he was a much better shooter.

Developing an outside shot will make Lee a veeeeery good player in this league.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Marbury is an arrogant, petulant, irritating, self-centered, stubborn, shoot-first, cancerous, egotistical, nappy-headed, hood rat ho.
