Steve and Barry are getting praises. There are many articles about his sneakers. They are huge in Fulton county, Atlanta and I know my counsin in Cinn. saying that the sneakers are always sold out. I guess the biggest praises he seems to get are for the number of sneakers he just gives away as well. I guess that is why guys like Wallace thinks it is a movement. While Cuban sees the business aspect. I know where many NFL players also would like to get involve with the "movement".

Just understand that Ben joined the "movement" because he had no other sneaker deal, and I suspect the same was true for Steph or his contract (formerly with And1, I believe) would have prohibited him from this one.

Why wouldn't someone without a deal want to get in on this one where you make dough while being perceived as doing charity?

Don't see your point. I hope T MAC and KG ask Addias to do something like this. I hope the "Nike team" ask Nike to do similar projects. MJ is lost to that thought. I think he is releasing another $300 pair this year.

I saw a kid where I live with the shoes on and a sweat shirt and his product is crap. What I don't understand what about the quality? Does that count for anything? Especially when it comes to playing a sport such as basketball.

What freaking charity? What is going on? All he did was make cheap sneaks cool. Kids could have gotten inexpensive clothes but with his name on it they sell more of it.

So what, I said early on this deal that he should donate every penny of it to charity!

I wouldn't run out and call those totally non-profit situations. NOt after looking at their books. Those execs get paid quite nicely.

And when they go there to WORK they call it their JOB.

So I guess Starbury sneakers are like American Red Cross and Salvation Army. They are both in it for a profit and help people along the way. You are guys are right.

Its not shallow to help underprivilege look good and keep up self esteem, but are there other ways to do it?

You got me there with Bill Gates and Warren Buffet those are the true freakin Robin Hoods of our time. I hope I too get to point that I can screw over others and amass enough money to give back a small portion back and get Nalod to put me in the likes MLK and Ghandi. Well Steph is atleast on his way. He needs to stop selling cheap sneakers and clothes and move on to selling cheap versions of Apple.
