I am really disgusted right now with this team but I am not going to abandon them. Indy is still playing like s**t and we have a game against Orlando coming up. If we beat Orlando, we still have a decent shot at the postseason.

game - what does making the postseason mean? is it a redemption for the knicks? what are you saying by that exactly. how can this franchise possibly benefit from making the postseason - not attacking you, just curious as to your thoughts, b/c i see alot of dudes on this board saying that, but i do not believe making the playoffs actually helps the state of this franchise. i believe the opposite - making the playoffs actually worsens us b/c it only allows for the delusion that this team is getting better. only way "this" team gets better is if "this" team aint together anymore....IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.......

I understand what you are saying jimimou but making the playoffs IMO will be huge for the Knicks for several reasons.

First, I do not want to give the Bulls another damn lottery pick. If the Knicks don't make the playoffs and our pick somehow turns into a top 3 pick, I don't even want to imagine how the fans would feel. The Knicks need to avoid that possibility and making the playoffs does that.

Second, these young kids need to see playoff intensity and realize that as hard as they think they are playing, they have a long way to go before they are at an elite level. I think the playoffs would be a good experience for them.

Third, it is time we start raising expectations. If the team makes the playoffs this year, there will be no excuse for not making the playoffs next year. If we get swept in the playoffs, there will be no excuse for not winning more games next year in the playoffs.

Fourth, I just want to see the Knicks in the playoffs. I love Knicks basketball, even this watered down version, and I don't want it to end.

Now I do recognize that this team might take making the playoffs as a sign that their have arrived, but really I think getting bounced out of the first round should send a strong enough message that they have a long way to go.

good points game. i still hate them. only thing i would say about what you wrote is that chicago getting our pick would never have happened if isiah had a clue on how to make a deal as GM. boy - he really messed us up for a while. i hope his extension is just through the draft, and not for another season or two...or even more...

If the playoffs are in reach, is it because we made it or the playoffs came down to us?

By that, the East is really pathetic and its not like we are making it. we are backing in.

Still a bunch of games to go.

Sure our guys are breaking down, but its the same 82 game schedule as other teams gotta play.

In fact, not having to play the western teams over and over really helps.

If we were in the west, it would be ugly!

With Frye and Lee already on the roster, chances are they wouldn't have drafted Ty. But Brandon Roy would have been a pretty useful player. How is he doing?

i had a feeling they'd lose last night... i have a feeling they're going to win a couple games against some of the tough teams they have coming up too... this is what they are... they make you want to pull your hair out after these tough losses, & then jump out of your shoes when they pull out a win against a team they have no business beating... they're a 36 win team, bottomline.

Im going to agree with you, I think the knicks will beat one of the teams you expect them not to beat too, they've done this all season.

except they lost to dallas, because they were coming off a win (A blow out no less) against Toronto which negates the chances of beating a good team because they get ****y.

the formula for this team is so easy to figure out. I swear I could have put money down on this team

I want to stay positive but I don't need this type of stuff. I rather stick pins in my eyes then watch this team. Gutless doesn't even begin to describe that effort. I personally watch Curry just give up baskets. He gotten fatter as the season went on. Nobody doesn't say anything on that Staff. Curry seemed only to play for Thomas' contract. He has no character. He is hopeless. Frye is clueless after 4 years of college ball and 2 years in the pro. He still miss assignments. And Stevie Francis just outright sucks.

Apparently we're on the same page. That's how I feel. I've been noticing things like that since early in the season and it's been extremely difficult to stay positive under those circumstances.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

No joke. He rebounds above average for his position. He passes well. And he plays defense.

This team is pathetic and with the longterm future of Isiah secure, we are in for a long, long time of frustration. It's too bad. I thought it would change with Layden. But Isiah is just another Dolan crony.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

you know I remember last year at one of Dolan's biannual press conferences he said that he's always open to offers to sell NYK if the offer is right.

come on there's got to be a knick fan out there who has a gazillion dollars!

maybe Donald Trump wants to own an NBA team?????
